Serotonin is by definition "a powerful vasoconstrictor" and not just "a neurotransmitter". Being the brain is an organ which thrives on oxygen carried by it's vasculature, causing the buildup of serotonin in the brain and body is a very bad idea, likely depriving the brain's conscience mechanisms of the oxygen they require to function properly - which is likely why we see so much SSRI-related violence and mayhem. This class of drugs should have never seen the light of post-approval day.

I can not believe that on a site that is about bi/polar ssri's are given a place without the warning that they can lead to mania in many people
They should be used only with close supervision of one's doctor

lies are written about people to ruin them. the lies are used to haze and push people over the edge. my wife's job was ruined by lies. she lost her career her house her family her mind from the dirty lies...they would even steal her work and claim it for themselves. once i was singled out in the computer room over by the disk drives where the manager couldn't be heard talking to me...he threatened to cause my wife to loose her job and told me i would loose everything ...and we did....Social engineering of sorority type fraternity type mobbing harassment and hazing is the cause of the mental illness of many of us. you look at any psych ward and you will see broken people. people who were unfairly punished and unfairly treated. everything stolen from them. when they make u a patient; they destroy your credibility...you words mean nothing... they just push drugs on you to fix your mind...when in reality its the world that is cracked. my meds were switched so many times and the doctors didn't monitor nor double check if any of the meds would interact causing an adverse interaction... so about this psychiatry and the whole drug cartel that pushes psych meds... its all a sham... its a creepy way to make money off the misery of people who have done nothing to anyone except do their duty. i think i could use an ssri to kick start myself into health. what happened to me was when i worked for the government... i was sent out to Greenbelt and this Doctor didn't seem to care of the violence perpetrated against me and my family. Doctor kept switching the meds and the meds were expensive. I should have been born and told i am Jewish and the whole world is against me and my family and my friends and then i would have never have been a victim of the lies. i would have never worked for someone. i would have been in business for myself. Cruel people with authority make normal people decent people into psych patients.

The US Army is reporting the highest rates of suicide in it's history, while Paxil is one of the two medications approved by FDA for PTSD. This very article is a product of corporate and government media drivers and misinformation ministers, and should be seen as an example of such. Antidepressants in adults can also have a "paradoxical" effect wherein the patient becomes more depressed and thus more prone to suicide. The FDA issued a General Warning on March 23, 2004 that antidepressants can worsen depression in all age groups and can cause panic attacks, hostility, agitation, increased anxiety and hypomania and mania.
Go to www.SSRIstories.com where there are over 2,800 cases, with the full media article available, involving bizarre murders, suicides, school shootings [47 of these] and murder-suicides - all of which involve SSRI antidepressants like Prozac, Zoloft, Paxil, etc, . The media article usually tells which SSRI antidepressant the perpetrator was taking.
