Physicians can no more provide an accurate prognosis than pick winning lotttery numbers each week. The sheer volume of variables is enormous. Physician accuracy is about 20% although during the last two months of life nearly anyone's accuracy in predicting the outcome of a terminal condition exceeds 90%. Statistical methods rate about 50%. There is and has been a method than exceeds 95% accuracy in health, disease and life-limiting conditions which finally will be available next year; stay tuned.
