I am a 25 years old young lady with sickle cell disease, and every day I ask myself if I'm gonna die with/from this disease, or if there's gonna be a cure one day. My greatest wish is to be free from it. I am so skinny, my eyes look so yellow and i'm in and out of the hospital so often. I know there a God up there somewhere and if I should be cure from this deadly disease, He's gonna let it happen. I thank the person for ever coming up with the solution.

I am a Consultant Hematologist in the University College Hospital, Ibadan, Nigeria where we manage almost 50 cases of sickle cell disease in both adult and children clinics on a weekly basis. The age range of study participants and the the outcome of fertility is impressive. The effect long term use of Alemtuzumab and outcome of fertility should further be investigated and analyzed. Being able to involve resource poor/technologically disadvantaged countries where you have personelle is something to consider.
