I love raw Milk it costs twice the regular milk but it's worthy.

When i drink it, i close my eyes to enjoy the richness it has it is the best, too bad America always wants artificial things. They are brain washed by manufacturers who are out for profit not caring the nutritional content.

I will stop drinking milk if California burns it completed from the stores. I still enjoy organic raw milk.

It is delicious rich and feeling.

So I can buy raw chicken, beef, pork etc from disease-ridden CAFOs and be expected to be grownup enough to handle it, but raw milk is a terror that will lay waste to the land. Pathetic. Is there this much propaganda against carpaccio, caesar salad dressing, sushi, raw oysters etc? Why no, there isn't. Wonder why....

It appears the majority of responders are in favor of raw milk. (Rought count, 15 out of 16...statistically, that's overwhelming. Of course, the FDA would call it 'anecdotal' because it doesn't match their preconceived notions (or should I say, "pre-purchased loyalties").

Check the history of the FDA...ever notice how many of them came from or go to the vary organizations they're supposed to regulate? And, no, not the small, family farms.

The FDA (as a group) has sold it's collective soul to the (food-chem) devil. Not that there aren't good people there; but, the culture is not conducive to keeping good people (or keeping them good).

I'm curious how the 45 outbreaks/1000 illnesses compare to the rest of the cases tracked by the CDC? Funny that they didn't point to any comparisons. I remember a certain peanut butter problem recently...how many dead? how many sick? What about the e coli in the spinach? These were USDA/FDA approved, folks. But, buying from the local farmer doesn't allow big business to sink their teeth into the deal.

One more point...the local dairy farmer isn't looking at just the bottom line. He can't afford ANY of his local customers to get sick on his stuff. NOT ONE. They're not percentages or "markets," but people. And he knows them personally.

He's going to take care of his critters, and take care of his customers. His customers will take care of him. It really is that simple. Small, local markets work because people do give a rats rump about their customers.

(I'll get off my soap box, now.)

Thanks

I wouldn't drink the milk from his families 'factory', but I'll drink raw milk from a well cared for cow.

By the way, the milk you buy in the store shouldn't even be called milk, I've never wanted to drink it. I drink raw milk daily, and my cows are healthy and happy. While technically yes store milk is milk, but if you dry steak it might still be steak, but it's still beef jerky.

Also, he spends lots of time warning of possibilities. Please show me some facts or statistics, I might get hit by lightening.

My two young children and I are lactose intolerant. We become ill immediately after consuming pasturiezed cow's milk. Fortunately a friend introduced us to raw milk. After doing quite a bit of research, I tried it. I'll admit, I was afraid at first...

But we've hardly looked back since. I can consume as much of it as I want and feel great. My children are now able to consume dairy, and I believe they are much healthier for it. I've since given the "raw milk challenge" to everyone I meet who is lactose intolerant (about a dozen people) and so far no one has had any difficulties digesting it.

I emailed the FDA to tell them that their information on their website is incorrect, that raw milk can be consumed by many if not all lactose intolerant people. They did respond, but only to to tell me I was incorrect!?!? They stated that both pasteurized and unpasteurized milk contains the same amount of lactose. Well... sure, it does, but pasteurized milk doesn't have as much lactase, and other enzymes, which humans (and probably baby cows) need to digest the lactose.

I now feel fortunate that my family was unable to tolerate pasteurized milk, because after doing more research I believe pasteurized milk should be illegal (or at least have warning labels on it.) We should hold our dairy farms and distributors to higher cleanliness standards, therefore removing the need to pasteurize.

Removing the lactase, other enzymes, beneficial bacteria, and altering the fat soluble vitamins is hard on anyone's digestion system and could be responsible for latent health issues.

Have you ever wondered why they fortify pasteurized milk with vitamin D? The naturally occurring vitamin D is destroyed or greatly diminished by pasteurizing it, so they need to synthetically add it back in. Vitamin D is just one component of what is altered with pasteurization.

I'm drinking some raw milk for the first time right now and it tastes, well, like it should, AMAZING!!!!! I have a very sensitive stomach and I was advised by a friend to try raw milk. I comes from grass fed guernsy cows in Devon, UK but I buy it near where I live in London.

Yummy! This is natures way.

If you trust the FDA then you will not want to drink Raw Milk. If you trust your own research you will want to drink raw milk. It is as simple as that - one group trusts the FDA and will not drink raw milk one group trusts there own research. That is the bottom line.

We all know that better nutrition is not going to help our health. That is what the FDA promotes. SO why would a healthier milk make us healthier? SO we should buy the milk at walmart cause it will not help our health. Do you really think that someone that produces milk for walmart would want money over peoples health. Ridiculous! Health is always more important then profits. SO help walmart prosper and don't worry about eating healthy because food cannot increase your health. You are what you are born with - it's all bout genes.

One thing Im wondering is why the FDA CAN regulate milk- since it has been used to cure before 1938- (like colloidal silver) I don't see why the FDA has the right to regulate this. People really need to get their heads in the game and REALLY find out what is in their milk. Harmful hormones that cause cancer, antibiotics (anti-life) and once it is pastureized it is basically void of any living substance. Enzymes- gone. This living tissue is void and dead once pasteurized. This "dead" matter straight from the grocery store is only good for one thing- illness and disease. Lets get back to grassroots and really start providing for OURSELVES again. Its better for the environment and its better for ourselves and our family.

I credit raw milk with saving my life! It's a miracle. Raw milk caused me to quit smoking. See, I couldn't successfully light up for 4 full days while I was doubled over, gasping with excruciating stomach cramps and bloody diarrhea -- physically impossible to burn one.

Added benefit - my knees stopped hurting because I was spending so much time relaxing on the john.

As good as some vacations I've taken!
