7 Signs That Your Child May Have Exercise-Induced Asthma

Good article. I had this as a child and was un-diagnosed until I was 35 years old. I heard symptoms about exercise induced asthma on the radio and then went to my doctor. As a child I called it "my not enough air" problem and never thought that coughing hard to get the air out was a symptom of asthma. Many times I was out playing and there was no adult around to see my symptoms. When I was in junior high, I had a PE teacher that wanted to get me in shape. I tried to tell her that no matter what I did, it never helped. She spent the entire year trying and at the end of the year I could only run about the same distance as the start. It opened her eyes, but still no one thought of asthma. I had even passed out from lack of oxygen, and had reoccurring allergies. I was exhausted after exercise, slept a lot, and always felt not 100%. So if anyone has a child that has these symptoms - make sure they are checked and given the proper tests to diagnose this disease.
