You should be washing your face after every workout. I have the same condition around the lower part of my nostrils and the part of my face where sunglasses fall on the outside part of the nose. It flares up really bad when I sweat and do not wash my face (Other things like the change in weather, dirty eyeglasses, and sometimes my diet cause my flare ups as well) Normal facial soap does not work. I use Selsun Blue to wash the infected areas on my face. The "Selenium Sulfide" works great for me. If my face is really red and infected the Selsun Blue feels like its burning my skin but it stops hurting after a couple of days. Within a week the redness is gone but you have to use the shampoo as a facial soap regularly even when your skin is clear. I would try it out and hold off on the yoga for a bit. The humidity in the class will prevent the redness to go away. The skin needs to heal first. It seems like the skin needs to dry out for a couple of days. The redness will go away and the skin will start to dry and flake. Use a non scented lotion but be careful. I don’t use lotion on the first couple days of a flare up. Only when the skin is flaking and the redness is gone I start to use a small amount of lotion. There is a lot of great information on the web. Research “seborrheic dermatitis” and “eczema”. You may have a little of both so try out the over the counter remedies for the two. Hope this helps.

Hi, I'm a mom and living in Holland (the Netherlands/Europe) I made a very new creame by myself for people with skinproblem like eczema. I know that eczema is a very big problem. Soon I'll start with my online webshop with this. It's working, because a lot people (young and older) used my cream with succes. My question is: Are you interested in my cream. The herbalextract in my cream is healing the itching, the red skin; the cream made the skin very soft. After 1 week you have a good result.
Trust me, its working for sure.
Please give me an answer.
Your sincerly

I have been to the Dermatologist twice since August due to a "supposed" case of Seborrheic dematitis. I was told that it Eczema and even Rosacea. I have been given three types of medications which I constantly use but the rash does not go away. I do practice "hot yoga" which is done is a room of 100 degrees or more. Could this be what is causing it not to go away or should I go back to the dermatologist? After reading this article, I am concerned.

The Made from Earth Pure Aloe Skin Treatment is GREAT for dry and/or sensitive skin. I used to get eczema-like rashes on my face during winter time. This cream has solved the problem completely. It is absorbed by the skin very quickly, there's no greasy residue.
If you are prone to acne breakouts this cream will also work for you since the aloe has astringent properties. My sister who is prone to acne used it for her dry skin, and her skin looked AMAZING. Its amazing what a bit of pure aloe can do for your face. I recommend this from the Made from Earth product line.

According to a new study in the March 2009 issue of the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Albolene Moisturizing Cleanser was found to be as effective as a prescription moisturizer for eczema, for a fraction of the price and with ease of availability. Albolene works by temporarily reducing the transepidermal water loss (TEWL) until the barrier is restored, minimizing the signs and symptoms of eczema comparably to the prescription product. Albolene is made with mineral oil, petrolatum, paraffin and ceresin, which provide superior skin moisturization by trapping moisture, especially in areas that are prone to chafing, dryness, and irritation. The article is just the tip of the iceberg--eczema is a maddeningly complicated condition. Anyone who has it--or has a child who has it--could get in-depth information as well as encouragement via the National Eczema Association, which publishes a quarterly magazine. I only wish it had been around when I was a child. NEA also supports basic research leading to advances in knowledge and treatment.
