The author references recent science and then progresses into an old school diatribe. The bottom line of the recent study is that the amount of potassium in the diet is particularly important and needs to be studied, but for most reasonably healthy people, SALT DOES NOT CAUSE HYPERTENSION! This is a perfect example of how bad science persists despite further research.

"Eat God-made food for your God-made body."

I have read many studies where an attempt was made to show that naturally occurring ingredients were better than synthesized or man-made ones. That has never been proven. The body cannot decipher between sugars from fruit or refined ones, for example. Moreover, mercury and lead exist in nature, yet there is no acceptable MDR for them.

Enjoy a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables and when you cook legumes, grains, meat and seafood, use fresh spices and herbs for added flavor. Most innately contain their own balanced source of sodium. It is when man changes these foods, removes their natural flavors and adds sodium so you'll eat more than you need, you face excessive consumption. When you do use a bit of salt, please, use sea salt. We say, "Eat God-made food for your God-made body." You will be well nourished while satisfying your taste buds!

I just paid $24,31 for an iPad2-64GB and my girlfriend loves her Panasonic GF 1 Camera that we got for $34,26 there arriving tomorrow by UPS. I will never pay such expensive retail prices in stores again. Especially when I also sold a 42 inch LED TV to my boss for $678 which only cost me $68,18 to buy. Here is the website we use to get it all from, CentSpace.com

There have been numerous articles recently debunking the claims of harm from modest salt intake. Ex.: See current article in Scientific American.

In view of recent reports this article is irresponsible and inaccurate.

Surprisingly simple to write about. Difficult to do. Has the author ever eaten a can of 'no salt' vegetables? I doubt it.

1. Cook from scratch. Not "surprisingly simple" at all.
