My heart doctor simplified this for me when I was a patient for open heart surgery in 1976 - salt makes fat around your heart. Essentially this is too simplistic but it is true in a symbolic way and offers a visual to help us make healthy choices.

I have trouble with my salt intake I can't afford the healthy brands of food like eating fish alot or stay away from alot of processed foods I live on a low budget plan and every cent is budgeted so it makes it hard to buy the expensive foods so I have a real problem I also have diabetis I am Native American Indian and as you know Indians have problems with unnatural foods so that makes it hard I eat vegetables salads brocolli cauliflower and green onions etc., I try to stay away from these foods processed and salty foods but, it is hard and sugar that is really hard I get a terriable urge to eat something with sugar in it it is like a addiction I try to excercise but I love to swim and going to the YMCA is alright I am very tired when I get home but I feel better when I get home! I live in the Northwest where it is cold I am from Southern California and my health went down when I came up here I just don't get enough excercise here I am going to move back home asap!

Sodium spelled backwards is muidos. Remove the mui and you have dos. "much two". Think about it. Is it any wonder that sodium and humans have this sort of relationship? The salt lobby may or may not be affecting things, in ways that are not as obvious as they could be. On the other hand, history teaches us that people need to eat and , if left to their own devices, they will eat. I need to think about this some more.

These studies may show that reducing salt may reduce blood pressure, but they never say anything about the persons water consumption! This seems to be a serious flaw in the studies.

Salt is necessary in proportion to how much water you drink. If you don't drink water and all you eat is salt, than of course you are going to have salt overload. Try increasing your water consumption to half you body weight in ounces or more, and see what happens to your blood pressure.

And if all you drink is water and no salt, guess what, you will die.

If salt is the culprit than why does an Upper Cervical adjustement (NUCCA) dramatically drop blood pressure?

That sodium is such an unseen factor in are overall health. Being a diabetic and now along with my high cholesterol, high blood pressure, I am now having to

look at what a train wreck I was riding with this salty diet of mine.
