5 Ways to Keep Bisphenol A, or BPA, Out of Your Food

I have gone completly organic buying my food at Whole Foods.

I have been concerned about cans and this article gives me a lot to think about. I love the canned root beer at WF with pure cane sugar.

I do believe corporations like the cancer institute do not want a cure for cancer because it would put a lot of folks out of work.

I WALK FOR PREVENTION..NOT FOR CURE.(I am putting a web page together about living off the grid, prevention of cancer, and basically skills my grandmother taught me.)

We should all go back in time.

BPA has a much more immediate danger, in that it convinces your brain that you

are not yet full. Is it intentional that canneries are allowing BPA to remain in their food? Perhaps. A similar effect can be seen in corn starch (the exact same thing as high fructose corn syrup or fructose). This is put liberally in processed foods, especially in, you guessed in, things that come in jars.

I'm not crying conspiracy, but I'm saying that corporations will generally keep things in their products that keep you wanting to consume more of that product, so long as they aren't disciplined or found out.

I only use canned pineapple . I love pineapple but in the morning after I eat a can full of DOLE pineapple chunks I don t feel so great in the morning I am very limited on what I eat. Pineapple satisf ies my sweet tooth. I can t drink or eat anything with corn syrup in it.

Health insurance companies, FDA and our government do not care about us. We are commodities. There is a lot of money to be made off of sick people. Health insurance companies make huge profits off of businesses by charging higher premiums if their employees have costly illnesses. Hospitals stay in business with all their fancy procedures and shiny machines The pharmaceutical companies make money off off drugs that do not cure. Bottling companies probably are using the excuse that BPA prevents food illnesses but I would be curious to know how cheap this lining is for them in lieu of glass to make huge profits too. And oh yes let's not forget governmental population control to eliminate useless feeders.

I don't understand why manufacturers can't just use glass jars for tomato and other products that require the BPA lining? After all, most pasta sauce is in glass jars and it works fine. If it costs a few pennies more, I think most people would be willing to pay that to avoid getting cancer or something else. ( BTW, I am in treatment for Breast cancer)

Having done research in some depth including a study in India using lab rats, I am convinced that BPA is what caused my breast cancer. I was going to praise Eden Organics for their decision to use cans lined with something safe, but another poster beat me to it. I am not an emplyee, just a fan. I am glad the word is finally getting around about this toxic plastic. It is screwing up out reproductive system big time. It need to be banned.

Are there safe plastics? I have heard not to use #2,5 and 7 plastics.

Check out the food company "Eden's Organic" on the web.

Their cans are lined with a natural substance rather than plastic. Eden's Organic spends hundreds of thousands of dollars extra each year to do this, but the cans are not lined with a synthetic plastic.

I make a special trip to the Whole Foods grocery store to purchase their products, specifically for this reason.

Keep up the good work Eden's Organic!
