i've found just the opposite is true. if you eat broccoli, beans, or other gas inducing but SO GOOD FOR YOU foods on a more regular basis, your body stops being affected by them in this way. we eat broccoli and beans on average of 3 times a week each, at least, and don't have any of these issues. it's only after going without these foods at that frequency that they begin to have the gassy affect on us. just my observation. i don't think i'd ever want to cut out broccoli, it just has too many positive effects!
