The article does not mention people on diuretics, some of which tend to lower potassium levels.
I am on a vegan diet, and have been since August 2008. I eat vegetables, fruit, beans, and only tiny quantities of brown rice, whole wheat bread etc.
No oil. Usually no sweetened foods.
I take a diuretic for my blood pressure. Last potassium check was at the low end of normal. So many people take diuretics, and their effect should be taken into account.
Otherwise, I think that this is a good idea. I wonder if there are any other markers for a healthy diet.
