My routes go back to Central Asian and Caucauses. We have never heqard GREEK yogurt.

What you are describing is yogurt made from 100% natural milk without additivies.

If you use milk from sheep, your yougurt will be thick and crusty and will have more fat content.

If you use water buffalo milk that yogurt will be the one you will die for in taste, but it will have very high fat content.

A good natural yogurt is made of 100% whole milk no additives. Try it make it at home.

YOGURT is the food of the central Asian peoples from the begining. So, There is NO GREEK YOGURT like there no FRENCH PIZZA.

Just honest yogurt makers versus ..........

It's also great for lactose intolerance - it's much easier to digest. I suppose it comes from the straining process.

Pardon my ignorance, What is greek yogurt? My family as long as I remember makes yogurt at home from organic whole milk. without any additives. That yogurt you can eat with fork and it is great tasting. We did not get that tested for its particulars in the lab but the recipes comes from graet great grandmothers. I found the same tasting yogurt in Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan .....are they Greek Yogurt?

Please help me understand whether this is marketing hype or real Thank you

Katherine, I think you did yourself a disservice by comparing "generic Greek Yogurt" to Regular Yogurt, rather than haven chosen particular brands of Greek Yogurt vs Regular.

For example Chobai's Greek Yogurt low fat, offers the perfect combination of Protein (to kick of Glucagon-counter insulin kick), but to a lower carb amount, and has low fat. Add a few almonds for your fat to kick off Cholestykin, and you've got a perfect meal. By choosing high sat. fat Greek blends, you've discounted the benefits of the benefits of Greek Yogurt, which you did highlight ie., higher protein, lower carbs

"Well, actually omega-6s are a problem also."

Indeed, that is true. However, omega 6 is only found in _unsaturated_ fats.

You don’t have to spend countless hours dumpster diving, stealing newspapers, feeding your family processed-only foods and hoarding in order to save big instead get samples from Get Official Samples site
