I changed my diet to whole foods a few years ago, and had to watch calorie intake, but i lost 70 pounds. it was a struggle! I've recently made the conversion to a 90 - 95% raw food diet, and i've lost 20 pounds in two months, no counting calories, no restrictions on intake. I estimate i eat about 15 lbs of fruit a week and three pounds of dark green vegetables. I include a couple of hard boiled eggs, a piece of chicken and a portion of fish per week. I've decided if i want to jump outside of the box for pizza now and then, i will, but after two months eating raw? I have no desire for pizza!

I am 80 years old....have recently put weight on around my middle, a spare tire. I also take a Prozac generic (60mg/day) It is only recently that this "spare Tire" and extra weight gain has happened. What is the best diet for me?

When you boil it down to the essentials, losing weight requires education, commitment, consistency, and as much support that you can get from family and friends. Also, you can't be successful if you are losing weight for another person or event (i.e., new boyfriend, a wedding, etc.)
