I wish I had known all this before I got clogged arteries and had to have a quadruple bypass which did save my life and but I know I would have prevented my very painful open heart surgery had I been eating the right foods.
Thank you for this excellent information...I will pass this along to my grown kids ....they are all a bit overweight, like I was...I lost 60 pounds the hard way by having to go through this...it was so horrible so I have warned my kids and grandkids and hope they will spare themselves of going through what I went through!!!

Great info. I was just curious why organic butter from "grass-fed" cows or "cage-free" eggs weren't mentioned as excellent sources of omega-3 fatty acids? Other good sources are grass-fed beef, wild venison, free-range poultry, free-range pork, and grass-fed lamb. We should also be eating "wild-caught" fish and seafood as farmed or commercially raised fish simply increases the inflammatory effects of omega-6 fatty acids. Omega-3 fatty acids are anti-inflammatory. Omega-6 fatty acids are inflammatory. We need a one-to-one ratio of omega-3 fatty acids to omega-6 fatty acids in our diet. Commercial farming with its grain feeding of our meat products has destroyed this natural balance. This wasn't the case prior to the 1940's.
