Losing a lot of weight is very risky. Health risks that include physical and mental. Many have become overweight for a reason if that includes unhealthy eating habits or emotional eating. It takes time to adapt a healthy lifestyle. The best way is to take it slow by becoming active and choosing healthier food options. ExerciseTV is a good way to start on the healthy life path.

Why do these stories always give the negative testamonial (which are so much harder to find in this case) that the positive so freaking many on youtube...can't find one against it. Poor slanted journalism.

I really wish the medical community would do an actual study following Simeon's protocol to a T and follow those people for 20+ years. The sad thing is that HCG is so inexpensive, safe and a viable option for many. It is not right for everyone.
There have been diet drugs approved by the FDA that have caused more damage and death than HCG but because the FDA has not been paid off they don't approve. Look at some other options. What about Lap Band or Bariatric surgery? Well, the side effects of those is lifelong malnutrition. What is worse, life altering surgery or 23-40 day cycle of a hormone? Thank you but I chose the hormone.
I followed a low calorie, "healthy" diet and worked out more than 3 hours per day for more than two years. It even stumped my doctors as to why I wasn't losing weight. After two years and me considering surgery my doctor finally told me about HCG. I did a 30 day round and lost 25 lbs which has stayed off, with ease, for more than five months now. I am now running races, doing triathlons, tae kwon do, etc. I still need to lose another 35 lbs but will try the old fashioned way for a year. If it doesn't work, I will be back to HCG. During the "diet" period I found out foods that I was sensitive to, how to appreciate vegetables, the value of exercise. I think the people that fail at this diet are the ones that have not learned these lessons. You cannot go back to eating like you did or you will gain the weight back. That is just silly to think otherwise.
I truly do think HCG is a viable option for many people. I do not think it should be used as a first diet or something to lose weight quickly. But then again, it does work that way. I truly believe it has less side effects than all of the diet drugs out there approved by the FDA at this point and less than any surgery. Consider all your options and make the best choice for you.

I have been on the HCG diet for a week now. Granted, I started this diet when roughly 60lbs overweight but I have lost 13.4 pounds in 7 days. I spent a few years working in the natural gas fields of Colarado and had to consume around 8K calories a day to survive. Since then I have taken a desk job and steadily gained pounds and inches. I cut myself back to 1500 calories a day while trying to get to the gym a few days a week and lost 17 pounds in a month. I was also always starving. With my 500 calorie a day diet I have now, supplemented with the HCG drops I'm almost never hungry and have lost as I said over 13 pounds in 7 days.

My mom did this back in the 70s and ended up in the hospital in near cardiac arrest from lack of potassium. From then on she was always ill or really sick. She died at the age of 59. Was it from the HCG Diet that her health deteriorated, one will never know, but I think it was.
Also, if you have young daughters, you are sending them the wrong message about their bodies and self-esteem. Been there, lived that!

"Detractors say the hormone isn't some miracle ingredient to weight loss—the restrictive diet is. "If you don't eat, you lose weight," Cohen says. "If hCG truly diminished hunger, it would be a wonderful drug. But if that were the case, why couldn't you just modestly reduce your intake while using it?"
I think the point always missing is how many people have less hunger while on HCG drops. There is evidence as the quantity of people with success grows every month. I have done the diet and it works... see my experience at http://www.hCGsupply.com

I also am an HCG diet success story. The press has been giving this diet a bad name, but I believe it works. This diet was such a success for me I now try to help others learn about the diet and how to eat while on it. I created a site to help people with recipes and hcg menu ideas as well as other hcg diet info.

The HCG Diet has become popular simply because "It Works". The true “Acid Test” is the result obtained by thousands of people who follow the standard Simeons Protocol. Try telling them “It doesn’t work”. I did the program and personally lost 21 pounds and about 3 weeks. I posted my story on this website: http://whyhcgdiet.com/hcg-diet-info/
