I am curious if anyone has tried this diet when they only needed possibly 15lbs-20lbs to lose. I have tried for years to lose this. I did lose a good bit of it last summer and was very close to my goal, but it literally was like non stop excersicing along with eating very very clean, no fats, no sugars, etc... I am 43 and have a hard time keeping up with the non stop exercising and the real low calorie intake is not that appealing to me, nor do I think it can be that healthy and I agree with some that this just cant be good, along with if anyone goes on a 500 calorie diet, you are going to lose weight one way or the other.

The HCG diet has worked like a charm for me.... in a matter of 2 days my appetite had diminished to the point of having a hard time finishing all my 500 calories in a day. My energy level has soared, I sleep more soundly at night and wake feeling great & most of all my knee is going away !!! I have lost 22.5 lbs in 16 days !!! Don't tell me this diet doesn't work, the proof is in the pounds gone!

I am getting ready to begin the diet.. ordered the drops with a coworker.. I am over 45, post menopausal, and have had surgery which is preventing my previous extremely active lifestyle.. tried many many different diets... exercising aggravates my physical medical problems.. I am so excited to begin a diet that allows rapid weight loss with no exercise... From all those I have spoken with or read about who have been successful on this diet I appreciate your words of encouragement. To all those who speak negatively think about this... how would or will this potential breakthrough diet affect the diet industry that makes millions on people like myself.. What if we all lose those unwanted fat cells and are able to maintain our weight... gee sounds like a million or billion dollar loss of income for them... maybe that is part of the negative press we see suddenly??? Just my opinion..

I'm on my second round of the diet. I lost 20 pounds the first time, but I was 80lb overweight after my second pregnancy, so that's why I am doing it again. I wanna get to at least a decent weight (because I want faster results than anything else I have tried would deliver), and then I'll eat a well balanced diet, do exercises, all that good stuff. But I was so depressed being so overweight (I was a 136lb woman before, and got to 221lb!), that I needed a kick-start. Plus, I was on a diet for 2 months and wouldn't lose a pound! It's horrible to do your best, diet like crazy, and not get anywhere. The HCG helped me change break this cycle, and I totally recomend it. Every diet has its hard times, none ofthem are exactly "fun", but the HCG really helps you cope with the low calorie intake. I don't feel hungry at ALL, so like someone else said here, try telling me it doesn't work! The only thing I have to add is, I never heard that you can't ever eat cake again - as far as you eat healthy, exercise, blablah etc etc, I think you can eat watever you want (occasionally, not often), and it should be ok. But everyone is different, so try to find your balance and it will work for you as well. Whatever that balance is. And always talk to your doctor about it. I do constant blood exams to make sure everything is right and I also take suplements - vitaminB, folic acid, and other stuff - for example, I am still on my pre-natal vitamins - my doctor said it was ok for me to take it, I only added Vitemin B and a couple other things. All my blood levels are great, blood pressure, etc. I never felt tired or had any sode effects - on contraire, I have SO much more energy then before! What can I say, I recommend it. :)

The HCG Diet has become popular simply because "It Works". The true “Acid Test” is the result obtained by thousands of people who follow the standard Simeons Protocol. Try telling them “It doesn’t work”. I did the program and personally lost 21 pounds and about 3 weeks. I posted my story on this website:

The reason people can eat only 500 calories on the hCG diet and not be hungry is because the hCG is burning about 1000-1500 calories of fat out of the body daily. The body is ridding itself of the "secure" fat, a fat it doesn't' need (not the good fat that insulates the body, protects the organs, etc.). You are also missing the last step which is to remain on a 1500 calorie per day diet and gradually move fats back into your meals. This resets the hypothalamus gland, which Simeon discovered to be an important gland, in concert with the thyroid gland, that effects your weight. My wife did the hCG diet, lost 35 pounds, feels great, looks great and never had any bad side effects except for a little constipation which went away shortly after the diet ended. This could be a very valid weight loss cure and that is why it is being attacked by conventional medicine. And who cares what the FDA thinks... look at all the poisons that incompetent and corrupt agency has allowed into our society. They are in bed with the AMA and the APA and cater to pharmaceutical companies.

My story is much the same as Deborah from Or. I am a terrifically fit woman...workout six days/week, an avid hiker, yoga/pilates instructor...blah blah blah...ate healthy and tried EVERY calorie combination possible. Weight watchers worked in my 30s, but not now. I knew several people who completed HCG with varying results and finally my doctor (after following my food and exercise diary for over a year) suggested I try the HCG plan. I thought it was CRAZY! After several more months of struggling with 30 pounds overweight, I crumbled. I gave it a try...food was never my issue so the restrictive diet wasn't a big deal. Bottom line, I felt GREAT. Granted, I was taking in 650-700 calories a day because I was still working out, but the zero sugar/zero carbs was the key for me. I slept wonderfully (first time in three years, hello perimenopause). I lost all of my PMS symptoms. Hot flashes stopped. I only lost 15 pounds in 40 days, which was all right with me. I have always been a slow loss proponent, but I would happily do another course if I can't lose the additional 15 pounds to my goal.
Of course, the caveat is that you can never, NEVER eat carbs like bread, rolls, donuts, cake AGAIN. That is why people gain their weight back. This is not a diet I would recommend to everyone....but for people like me, who have tried EVERYTHING...well, it was worth it and I may end up doing it again.

I did the hcg diet and lost 28 pounds in 42 days. I can't say enough good things about this. I did the drops from Pro HCG Diet while some of my friends did the injections. I lost just as much weight as they did and have kept it off for 6 months now. I am back in my skinny jeans!

Dr. Oz spoke about the HCG Diet and states the 500 calorie diet is not safe. Diet Doc HCG Diet and Weight Loss Program does not offer the unsafe, outdated 500 calorie diet. Their unique HCG diet consists of 1000 calories per day. Diet Doc HCG Diet and Weight Loss Programs train doctors across the country on their unique, modern day HCG diet protocol.
Diet Doc HCG Diet and Weight Loss Program found that people consuming only 500 calories per day lost muscle along with fat, and at times, experienced hair loss and other negative side effects. Dr. Oz does not support a 500 calorie per day HCG diet.
Dr. Shelton, medical director of Diet Doc HCG Diet and Weight Loss Program reports, it’s not necessary to go on a starvation diet. It’s counterproductive. It’s the food combination, the right amount of protein and discovering if one has high blood sugar or dairy sensitivities/allergies and a laundry list of other areas. All negatively affect weight loss.
Diet Doc Doctors developed various diet plans for athletes, vegetarians, and people wanting to lose 80 or more pounds. Diet Doc does not offer a “one size fits all” diet. Everyone is unique and customizing a diet plan specific to each person is how people realize rapid, safe weight loss.
Diet Doc offers a modified version of a ketogenic diet. Factors to weight gain are poor eating habits, lack of eating throughout the day, lack of drinking appropriate amount of water per day, lack of micro-nutrients, high blood sugar, dairy or food allergies and/or sensitivities, consuming artificial sweeteners or eating food with chemicals. Diet Doc HCG Diet and Weight Loss Program review all of these areas for people and customize a weight loss and diet plan for each and every person.
Dr. Shelton goes on to explain that HCG drops, known as homeopathic HCG drops are NOT the same thing as prescription HCG. There is no HCG inside the drops. Homeopathic therapies are only the essence of that particular molecule.
The Diet Doc HCG Diet and Weight Loss Program is the result of a team of doctors whose passion is reducing obesity within the general population in the USA. Their innovative ideas, revamped HCG diet protocol and dedication to their patients are the key factors to their success.

*These weight reduction treatments include oral hCG or an injection of hCG–a drug, which has not been approved by the food and drug administration as safe and effective in the treatment of obesity or weight control. There is no substantial evidence that hCG increases weight loss beyond that resulting from caloric restriction, that it causes a more attractive or "normal" distribution of fat, or that it decreases the hunger and discomfort associated with calorie-restrictive diets. Results may vary and cannot be guaranteed. Medical supervision and compliance with our program is required.
