the people write negative comments about this diet are ignorant and uneducated. you jump to the "starvation mode" phrase when you hear 500 calories, without reading all the research from Dr. Simeon. This diet works and is not only safe, but healing in many ways. it lowers cholesteral, blood pressure, balances your thyroid, and metabolism, and also removes postpartum depression. thats and the weight loss is phenomenal! i ran hilly miles for 30 days...and lost nothing. i lost 9 pounds in the first week. im on day 14 and after a TOM stall am now at 12 pounds lost! i gave up sugar and flour for 40 days once and only lost 4 pounds. nothing worked for me, but this does! not weak, dizzy, or hungry. the hardest part is turning down simful foods you would nomally eat...but remembering those foods is why you need the diet puts it all in perspective. the scale drops daily. its a wonderful feeling watchingyou body shrink and transform. it removed my cellulite that nothin got rid of.

so, all you doubtful, scared people, do this! its real, it worksbetter than anything out there and its safe. you have nothing to lose, except weight. :o)

Okay, I've just gone through about 6 pages of comments so far, but from what I've seen: you either have a lot of amazing reviews for the hCG diet or you have a few sprinkles of people that are completely ignorant of the diet.

Google the hCG protocol and Dr.Simeon's manuscript in order to become educated on this diet and how/why it works. This isn't some get slim quick scams that purges water weight and the weight rebounds right after...in a nutshell this diet resets your brain and metabolism. Not only that, but you learn just how bad the average person's diet is. It's crap. I mean, how many of you have been sitting around a table with friends while eating a meal with over a day's worth of recommended calories? All of you. Don't believe me, read the nutrition labels for some of the meals you've had at a restaurant, not even just fast food either.

I'm currently on this diet, and being supervised by my doctor. They give me just enough pre-filled syringes until the following week, weigh and measure me. This is actually my first week, I started on Monday. By Weds I had lost 4 lbs, and I'll weigh myself again on their scale tomorrow (I also have physical therapy at the office). For me, it's not just the hCG. I've also been given 2 supplements; Calcium Pyruvate (Veggie capsules) as well as Vital Prime (Liquid vitamin antioxidant). I've had no headaches or other side effects...just fat that has left my body. I'll be doing a full 40 day cycle and hope to lose 40 lbs. With this diet, you can't cheat but it's worth it if I can lose the weight. I'm 5'2" and was 162 at the start of this diet. I've done a lot of research and I think anyone considering this diet should do their own research. I also think that anyone thinking about doing this, should go to their doctor and not order things online that could be questionable.

Lastly; the author of this article was WAY off when describing a standard day's menu. Chicken with 2 fruits and just veggies for dinner? No. Breakfast is indeed mostly water/coffee/tea, but lunch and dinner are both about the same: 3.5 ozs of protein, a vegetable, and a fruit (only foods specifically listed in the protocol). It sounds like the author heard about this diet, spoke with one person that probably wasn't even going through a doctor and doing the diet correctly, spent about 3 minutes on google and put a 'story' together. I should think that by the great number of positive reviews of this diet right here in the comments section should be enough for a 2nd article to be written, maybe this time one that is more accurate than "hCG and 500 calories a day". Explain why it's 500 calories, explain how many years this diet has been successful, explain more about this diet other than the 'scare' or 'ignorant hype'. Unless, oh wait, I must have forgotten who I was writing to...the media. Nevermind. Hopefully someone reads my comment and does some research of their own!

Hello everyone,

I have been using HCG for 5 weeks and I have lost 28LBS. The way I have been using it is: 4 times a day I take the drops(9AM 9drops, 1PM 9 drops, 6pm 9drops and 9PM 9 drops). The drops are taken 15 minutes before you eat. The 9pm drops are taken to complete the daily dose (do not eat after 7PM). Drink alot of water and between meals have the folloowing as a snak; one apple or one orange or 6 straberrys or 1/2 greapfroot. The meals consiste of 8 oz of protein (meat, fish) and one green vegtable. The diet is not easy by no means. You will get hungre and board of eating the same things and so little of it but it does work. If you excersise you will lose more. I have done very little excersise and I have lost 28 LBS. I hope this helps does of you that are planning to do the diet and have no idea how to start.
