Of course there are super foods. But super foods don't make you lose weight. They will help you live healthy but losing weiht has to come from your mind

This is hilarious, now "nutritionists" have a problem with people eating nutrient dense foods (superfoods). So, we've had healthy eating shoved down our throats for ages, and now that people will consider doing it, it's "dangerous" and "limited". I've seen superfoods lists that consist of about 40 or more things. I doubt very much anyone is going to eat the same set of "limited" foods every single day.

We don't ever NEED to eat meat, only cats do. There are plenty of sources of iron and protein that don't involve death. I'm guessing some of the "experts" consulted for this article are getting kickbacks from special interest groups to make you think you can't live healthfully without their products. We also don't NEED milk, but you've been led to believe since childhood that it's part of the food pyramid. Guess who paid to make sure dairy had it's own food group?

this article is not based off of any study. Its pure bs. Superfoods are simply better. The only way you would overdo it is if you were not paying attention to the amount of nutrients per gram you may be eating too much or something. Rats were tested and able to live purely off of spriulina with no side effects. And besides whats the alternative? Mc Donalds and Pizza?! They should put "CONSUME" in big bright letters we sleep they live.

Superfoods are made up of fruits, veggies, nuts, berries, seeds, grasses, and a few other things. How is that NOT a good idea? Mix them up, add wild caught fish and free range chicken. A Filet Mignon once or twice a month provides things that only red meat has. Evolution in plants aside, superfoods are what your body thrives on. Disease can be cut in half or more when you give your cells fuel to function the way they were meant to. AND DRINK LOTS OF WATER. You aren't 98% soda...

I think that alot of people think that just because the lable says its helathy they think that they are getting the right amounts of vitamins and calaroies..there is usually a hidden catch.

Saying that plants evolved is a pretty simple statement.

Some people survived the bubonic plague, some didn't. Part of the reason was chance, of course, but part of the reason was natural genetic resistance.

Like humans, individual pin oak trees (same species) have different genetic make-up. Some individual plants survive drought, some plants in the same species don't. Some individual plants survive damp conditions, some plants in the same species don't.

The ones that survive are the ones that are better able to handle the difficult conditions. In some cases the difference is phytochemicals.

Abstaining from everything considered unhealthy is ridiculous and unhealthy. Lighten up and enjoy your life. Completely abstaining from alcohol is medically considered to not be as healthy as having 1-2 servings of wine or beer per day. Stress, depression, and other form of mental disease are the most dangerous things you can indulge in. Those will kill you.

Eating salmon, blueberries and almonds are one piece of the pie so to speak, one should avail themselves with all the different variety of fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains. Another step to being healthy is pretty a total lifestyle change such as no smoking, abstaining from drinking alcohol, daily exercise(at least 30min 3x/week or whatever an individual can tolerate. Then there's also the spiritual aspect that one can work on and the there's the mental aspect by learning how to manage or cope with the daily stress in life. Then there's Water-drink waterevery day instead of sodas of alcohol, and sunlight also is another key ingredient for better health. Temperance-add years to your life by learning to usethe good things moderately and avoiding the bad things entirely. And then there's rest-considering that sleep is a crucial element in healing, most people arein for a disease-ridden wake-up call.

Evolution is, at the very least, a disputable understanding for how life and the ecosystem as we know it came to be.

A little more objectivity would seem to be wise and prudent from a publication such as yours, lest a significant segment of your readership stop reading.
