I feel that generally, people are stupid and lazy.
Thanks,

I believe taking a water soluable vitamin cannot harm us. On a personal note, I take 3,000 mg. of vitamin C a day, which is water soluable. I do not take it all at one time. I take 500 mg. at a time with food. I find I get less colds, and when I do get one, I'm over it faster and it's not as severe.

this is at this point old news. but it is still incomplete. there are hundreds if not thousands of phytonutrients that inhibit cancer and help fight disease. stopping vitamin E, is that the end of the story, is it even complete? there are several different types of vitamin E, together they've been found to be more effective than just one of them in isolation. it is like this with a lot of foods/phytonutrients. lycopene, was found to be less effective than whole tomatoes. genistein alone was found to be contraindicated for cancer, yet in the presence of the other phytonutrients in soy beans (daidzein is one of them) it fought cancer. I know. I have cancer. I have done the research.

I'm a 21 year old man who has asthma and cripiling seasonal allergies. However when I began taking prenatal vitamins which are high in iron (that helps my anemia) and zinc, vitamin c and d. Whenever I run out of vitamins, I often wait a month or so to refill them and surely enough after a few weeks my energy depleats, I lose weight, I get dark under eye circles and fall sick .. So am I really just imagining this? Cant be vitamins work

I dont trust anything that has the initials FDA associated with it. The drugs these clowns approve have more side effects that cures. Its all about money, not health. I'll take a supplement, vitamin or herb that has been used for centuries or longer to treat a condition before I would take some doctor prescribed chemical with dozens of side effects. I take all of these articles with a big grain of ( sea ) salt. I would not take the info in this article as the last word on the subject by any means.

Im no expert and take a centrum daily. If they actually worked im sure the drug companies would have their own brand and profit from the billion dollar vitamin industry. My strongest thought that if they were all that....they wouldn't be so cheap. LOL

If you're interested in viewing some preliminary research on how diet contributes to cancer read T Colin Campbell's "The China Study". It's written by a Cornell professor who has spent much of his life in top positions on many different American or international food boards. He provides mostly unbiased information and its easy to see that there is something to be learned about diet yet; Especially how America is a nation full of such unhealthy people, a nation of what he calls "a country of Affluence". In it he suggests and runs studies on animal protein especially dairy and concludes that these foods, contrary to what nearly everyone believes, are the real evil forces at work :) Vegan for life baby get sum.

There should be more research done into the effect of diet on cancer. There are some botanicals which look very promising..like curcumin from turmeric.
But the expensive research and testing on humans won't be done in America where the big drug companies are interested in making drugs for big profits. Curcumin is very inexpensive so no profit in finding out it can cause apoptosis in cancer cells.
The research will be done possibly in nations where it is to the economic benefit of the nation to have healthy people...where there is universal health care.
If you want to read a scientific article about dietary factors and cancer published by the Oxford University Press:
"Apoptosis by dietary factors: the suicide solution for delaying cancer growth"
And how many of you know about the Harvard study that found 45,000 Americans die every year because they lack adequate health insurance? And why don't we know more about that?
We believe just about everything we hear or read,if vulnerable enought. I need a good vitamin for hair which mine is very fine. I have super supplied my life with just about every brand of vitamins & shampoos-Conditioners. They all say about the same thing "thickens hair, extreme moisturizers, great texture,"
BlaBLaBLa~ If any of these products had of work as discribed on each bottle, then why am I still looking for that perfect one???
Vitamins too!!!!! They all have a rememdy added to the front in huge writting on the bottle, sorta like they've really boosted the bottle with magic.. Take 2-3 a day...Great for hair, skin & nail. Yeap,
how-ever, my nail's do grow faster, but, that's it. No change anywhere else. And notice they always say "You have to at lest be taking them for about 2-3 months before you see results but, don't forget, there is a money back guarantee on the product for 30 days. 30 Days????but yet, you must take 30 more days to see benefits...It's a money making business that the Doctors are in on as well. Who really cares about our health as a whole nation that would put himself/herself out on a limb to protect our intake of vitamin-mineral supplements..And rather they care if they even work or not.???
