Soda has an average pH of 2.2 and adds to cellular acidity, or Acidosis! Acidosis of the physical body can lower and nullify your ability of maintaing a healthy body!

In addition almost all water sources in our country have an acidic pH level. Drinking these acidic waters along with acidic soda along with a highly acidic food diet can contribute to Acidosis! Acidosis is known to lead to acid reflux, irritable bowel syndrom, diabetes, high cholesteraol, cancer, artritus, and many other physical ailments!

Each of us were born with an average of 7.4 pH level in our body! That means that the Immune System is operating at 110% and is at its healthiest! If you can maintain a 7.0++ pH (or, the opposite of Acidic) this creates a healthy environment in your body, providing the right atmosphere for healing and maintaining good health and wellness!!

Interesting and useful article. Needs wide publicity. children should be stopped from drinking more than one sodas in a day. Why children, everybody should control or rather give up this bad habit, which has adverse health effects.

With all the sugar added to foods and how highly processed they are today, it's no wonder that diabetes has risen to almost epidemic proportions in this country. We've become a people addicted to sugar now we are beginning to reap the consequences that follow this addiction.

Soda and other cola based energy drinks could pose a serious threat to human health and it is ripe time for the government to ban such drinks. Multinational Companies like: Coca-cola, etc. are advised to see the health risks borne by their products and proper awareness to the consumers need to be generated.

I'm not going to argue with the data, but I'm an athlete and I drink soda to RELAX me when I'm at my desk. It reduces hypertension for me, not the other way around. By making me more alert, it causes me to pump more blood and burn more calories.
