My sister suffers horribly for migranes and has for years. She's a big diet soda drinker. According to my allergist, the research indicates the consumption of diet sodas is tied to migraines. Not sure if it's the caffine or not but I gave it up 15 months ago and I have seen huge improvements, one being my desire for desserts. Stay hydrated (water, decaffinated beverages, etc) and feel better!

Green tea doesn't contain much caffeine if any!

Sin taxes are becoming really popular with government at all levels. We need a new tax on all government employees: Set the tax at 90% of all income exceeding minimum wage.

I am a happy caffine addict, and even better am fully enabled by my employer! I probably drink 60 oz of green tea everyday. As long as I am also hydrated (I drink another 40oz of water)I feel great and am productivly buzzing along. Add to this a bathroom that is about 5 minutes away, I get plenty of excercise too!!

I remember back in the 60's when the discussion was about cigarettes. The government had a reason to tax them to protect us (I still haven't figured that one out!) Lately its been soft drinks, and state governments are talking about taxing them. Now caffeine, are we seeing the harbinger of a coffee tax? Maybe soon we'll see a Boston Coffee Party!

withdrawal implies addiction. So these signs are signs of both addiction and withdrawal, and the title is fine.

Of the six you state here I only experience one on occasion..Depression..I drink at least ten large cups of coffee each day and have for at least ten years..Actually it is the "only" liquid that I consume daily. I feel great physically all the time, alert and have no problems sleeping at all. 48 years old, living a very sedentary computer geek lifestyle, never exercise and smoke at least 3 packs a day. The only other thing other that coffee that I attribute to my good health, is the fact that for the last 10 years I have eaten "nothing" but high fat high protein with no more than 20 gram intake of carbohydrates a day. My last check-up indicated moderate obesity (fat calories do play a role), normal blood pressure and cholesterol. It is not unusual that on any given day for me to consume up to a kilo of fatty pork and a dozen eggs.
