Unfortunately there aren't many quality alternatives, most of them are pretty crappy, have a substantial amount of flavourings and generally taste awful, especially if they're 'instant'. If anyone is interested in cutting down caffeine check out crangrains.com, 100% natural (barley) and caffeine free, although not everyone will like it it's definitely worth trying.

I think more people need to think of the consequences of absorbing caffeine into their body. It may not be a drug related addiciton but in reality it has alreasy been proven to be an addiciton of sorts.

So far I've been fortunate not to feel most of these symptoms described since I began working third shift. Legathy is definitely one I do feel though.

Could it be necessarily from periods when I stop drinking coffee or possibly other reasons?

I have been drinking coffee every day since I was in Jr. High School. I'm about to be 25-years-old. I desperately want to stop drinking coffee and consuming so much caffeine in general but I feel I cannot stop without a serious painkiller to make it through the migraines. I feel trapped! It's automatic to drink coffee daily. I don't enjoy it, it just keeps me from being in unbearable pain. Migraines are real and I get them without coffee in a matter of hours. How the hell do I quit? What can I take to help?
