I do a mat exercise that I believe accomplishes the same thing and is easier because I remain seated on the floor. At any rate, a photo to show illustrate the positions of your version would be helpful.

A single picture of a stretch is so - well, 20th Century, if not 19th Century instructional material. A 30 second video clip, showing not only the right form but also common mistakes, would be far, far more useful than a picture and its accompanying instructions.

Why no pictures? I have no idea what you are describing!

This stretch series needs pictures! It's difficult to understand from the description what the body is doing. For example in #5, when you say raise the arm above and twist it to behind the body -- which direction to you twist the arm, up over the head and shoulder bending it at the elbow, or laterally around the side of your body?

I am 74 years old and am in good health, however I have been in a caretaker role over the past two years and have gotten out of shape. I am trying to implement your 10-day program, but I have run into a glitch. Specifically, I have been unable to design a flexibility routine that includes all the components and can be completed in 30 minutes a day (holding each stretch for 60 seconds instead of 30 seconds). There are 21 different stretches listed, plus shoulder and neck rolls. Each stretch requires a minimum of one minute to complete and must be repeated four times. So, 21X4=81 minutes per day, say 90 minutes given the lapses of time involved in moving from one exercise to another. Can I divide the stretches into three sets of seven per day? Under that scenario, each specific set of stretches would be done once every three days. That would require about 30 minutes of stretching per day, instead of 90 minutes.

I have a bad back and prone to lower back problems and neck problems. Some of these exercises look like they might jam my neck and/or back. Are these safe exercises for me?
