I personally use Nordic Naturals given that they are very transparant and I like their "truth in labeling". Every batch is 3rd party tested for purity and even tested by International fish oil standards (IFOS) with a 5-star rating. You can buy these at any vitamin store or if online, go to an authorized retailer such as WorldOfOmega.com

Informative article and I agree with the other comments about the need for highly concentrated fish oil. I've been taking OMAPURE for awhile and would recommend it too. It is also 5 star rated from IFOS (International Fish Oil Standards) so I know it is free from impurities and mercury.

Personally I look for a product with the seal of the International Fish Oil Standards organization and test results from every batch I buy to guarantee purity and effective EPA/DHA concentrations. For more information:http://fish-oil-review.com or http://www.squidoo.com/omega-3-fish-oil-new-york.

I recently tried a new supplement on the market. Moxxor. It is high in omega-3s and claims to be the most potent. The omega-3s comes from the green lipped mussle from New Zealand. I liked the results so much I became a distributor. My site is moxxcare.com. You may want to give it a try.

I think that EPA and DHA levels are the beneficial metabolites, and you need a highly concentrated fish oil for that, or else you would need to take 12 capsules or more to try to get the beneficial amounts necessary for the results as shown in studies.

for more info, go to www.n3oceanic.blogspot.com or www.n3inc.com for a good fish oil.

there is a product that has the highest safest source of omega 3 in a raw food form, its called mila seed.

this is the highest quality of chia seed, that has been micro sliced instead of ground like most of the chia seeds out there.

micro slicing helps the seed keep the maxium amount of omega 3's,when chia is ground it heats up and causes it to oxidize and lose there value, mila with the micro slice procees does'nt!
