I am not so much taken aback by Swift's kiss-and-tell method of making melodies as I am the broader societal double standard we apply to men and women. I could just imagine what would have happened had Mayer divulged his intimate moments with Swift in a song.

Taylor Swift has one of the brightest minds that has emerged from middle school in our modern era. She was writing award-winning poems at age 9. Now she has more than a decade of practice in that craft, perhaps half on a professional level.

Adults didn't know they still wanted to hear about high school romance in songs until Taylor reminded them with hit after hit after hit, crossing all the style and age-bracket lines. Now she's writing from the college-age or twenty-something perspective, but the brilliance is still all over the product. Perhaps someday she'll do global social, religious, and economic issues too. She'd be quite capable of it.

I guess this is Kanye’s “Goog A$$ Job” lol..........I wonder if all the teen queens that couldn't push 200k in the first week this year are calling Kanye as we speak. lol "pull my hair, slap me on the red carpet, spit in my face or put your hand up my dress so I can sell 5 mil in my next first week sales."
