Nothing is ever as good as it seems

Please remember that everything about this website promoting the Acai Berry product is fake...including the "host". She is not to blame. Unfortunately, you are.... for failing to not only read the fine print at the end of the website, but for believing that some random berry from an exotic locale would cure the ails of obesity. Not to be harsh, but this is an age old scam used to trick naive people into thinking that ANYTHING in this world is free and without a gimmick.

As another user said, you lose weight by putting in less than you use. Try it.

There have been legal cases regarding when you can cancel an order and not be charged, or be refunded: If you have 7 days, then legally, it is 7 days of trial from the date you receive the item. If it is 30 days, then it is 30 days from receipt of the item. Look it up and get your money back.

Her recent ad on the internet for the claims of Lean Spa were the same for another product called Nutra Cleanse. What happened to me is I ordered the product and did not recieve it for over 30 days. Of course I missed out on the "10 day trial" and was charged $83.00 for the product. I used it for a couple of months and when I called the phone number to cancel that showed up on my credit card was for another company completly. I called the number on my "no reply" email and SHOCK it was disconnedted. This Stacy person must be real thin now, trying all these products. The text in her ad's are all the same.

I don't know if Gretchen from The Real Housewives from OC is getting some of the action from this scam; or if she was just trying to make a few bucks (the company pays anyone that installs the link to their site) or what. But I went to her website to check out her new bags. I was fore-warned that her site was kinda ghetto in that she was, in addition to selling her $250+ handbags; was also autioning off her Target and Express brand worn/used shoes, tops and other discount store items.

When I went to her website, I saw a cuye little cartoon and next to it said something like 'try this weird tip to shrink youe tummy...Then you click on it and are taken to the website that looks like a REAL tv news station and it's anchor woman are doing a story on this berry that will healp you lose wait (VERY misleading GRETCHEN,,there's no "weird tip"!!!!

So innocent women who think Gretchen must endorse the product will order it and then get ripped off.

This is either really sleavy scamming on her part, or just negligent responsibility on her part???? I know the company pays per click on the link button.

This gal needs to be more responsible with her "fans".

As soon as I followed the link (I guess I made her a few bucks by clicking..me suckah!), I knew it was a scam. So I did a google search on the "Stacie Sandler" anchor woman supposedly from "channel 7", and was led to hundreds of results all saying the "Sandler" chick was a fraud and that they use her pic to sell other things as well, like elcetronic ciggarettes.

This is really a shame, because Gretchen has potential. But to sell expensive make up and handbags...then to auction off CHEAP used clothing (not even designer stuff...but Target?? ReallY?) and then to have a fakey link "tip" like it's a tip from her.... I don't know, I don't "get it"????

This girl must really be broke...but she won't have many "fans" left if she continues to give them "tips" that will steal their money and make her some of their hard earned money!!! I'm just so surprised at the cheap and tacky way she's tryin to make a buck....This had to have been Slade's contribution to her site.

I should have known better. I never fall for this. At least my lesson only cost me $45.86, which I do feel fortunate about since it clearly could have been much worse. My heart goes out to those who were scammed and lost much more. Especially in these tough economic times. I will be much more careful in the future.

It is terribly frustrating though that our legal system allows THIEVS like this to CONTINUE TO STEEL!!! What do you do to keep this from happening to others!!! It has obviously gone on TOO LONG!!!

do people have to get scammed and lose their money to learn to be more careful with their personal information? My father has told me, "if you don't go online and initiate a sale from a trusted website, then you don't give out your credit card info or anything else." Makes sense to me.

Filed a report with the Better Business Bureau but others (legally) need to look into this. Such an obvious scam with little/ no recourse for those taken in by it. They need shut down, sued, &/or legal ramifications for KNOWINGLY MISLEADING consumers. They twist it saying all the info. is there but they know they are scamming by the reports/complaints they recieve daily. Yet, are allowed to continue. I don't know who has power to get them but, I wish they would for all us little guys who can't really do much about it. I know it's a tough economy with jobs-- but shame on those who work for Acai Optimum. But, I guess some people don't have virtues & celebrate every time another sucker is taken. They don't care if you rant & rave, they got your info.. Try & stop your credit card - they know it will go through anyway. File a report with Better Business Bureau- still not scared. Have to take it higher- next level. Attorney General time. They gave me back 1/2 ($50) & so far no more charges but we will see.
