You were discussing sun beds and the benefits of tht to ur skin yet to diverted to anti-blacks. We are now learning that we are blessed with melanin in abundance and this is why some are so jealous. We never hate you despite the past.... why do you hate????

I agree that salons should be regulated, it would force the unprofessional salons to straighten up or close up. I have owned a tanning salon for 14 years and I am overly-familiar with the misconceptions of non-tanners. Many do not understand the dynamics of a tanning salon and still view it as an 80's "parlor" (I so hate that word). It all comes down to WHERE you tan. There are salons (such as mine) that truly care about your skin... we insist you wear eye protection, recommend a good lotion, and are careful with tanning time. We TEACH suncare - not sunScare. We can't and shouldn't hide from the sun. Where else will they teach how to live with the sun properly? When to use SPF and when not to (again, too much of anything is not good for you). We insist on parental consent for ages 15-18 because parents SHOULD help teach suncare. Putting an under-18 ban will do more harm than good. Kids WILL tan outside without having the knowledge to protect themselves. Research states that most skin damage is done BEFORE your 18th birthday, and takes 10-20 years to develop. So.... where does a tanning salon fit in here? Dermatologists protest that you can get cancer from a tanning bed - but UV exposure is UV exposure and leaving the actual sun out of that equation is nonsense. To Anti-tanners....I am the equivalent of a bartender, a "suntender" if you will. I do not force you to come in and drink. Unless it is physically obvious, I cannot tell how much you have already drank. I do not know your medical history or history with alcohol. I have to use the information in front of me to serve you. I make recommendations based on your likes and body size. I serve you no more than what my certification would deem acceptable. I WILL make you leave if you come in already drunk. I care about you - I have earned and deserve respect. So, while the dermatologists want you paste-faced, if you have questions about how to actually live under the sun, ask a professional certified tanning salon representative. oh, and tip your bartender!

well i think its right because your teens don't want to be aged when there still young and have wrinkles. What about skin cancer i don't think any mother or father would want their child to have skin cancer or even cancer at all. running around in the sun is good for you.for myself i think its bad for any one.

I know for sure i don't want saggy skin, aged, or spots when I'm still young.

Don't laugh about UV exposure; you could conceivably get ticketed and or taxed if you are at the beach, swimming pool, indoor tanning, even laying out in your backyard. Everything we used to laugh at as being impossible to happen is happening. There are restaurants that have or are going out of business in Illinois because of no smoking ordinances. Next it will be eating restrictions, then alcohol, then coffee (drug), and on and on and on. The problem is Americans are too apathetic to fight and the special interest groups are too zealous.

Government regulating UV exposure-- really!??!? As if the 10% tan tax isn't bad enough (and discriminates against white people), now we're going to ban inviduals from UV exposure. How do they plan to keep these teens out of sunlight? UV exposure is UV exposure period, whether it be from tanning beds or sunlight. Personally, I'd rather have my teen getting her tan at an indoor tanning salon where the staff is monitoring her exposure times in a controlled environment and encouraging her to use eye protection, etc. Otherwise, she'll be outside in the sun ALL day, burning the crap out of her skin and damaging her eyes with no oversight whatsoever. After government bans all tanners or scare them all away, how are they going to collect their 10% tan tax? They will probably impose a tax on us for sunlight... or perhaps a tax on public swimming pool admission since their patrons are exposing themselves to UV light, or beach go-ers... or maybe even residents of sunny states. This 10% tan tax is one step in the WRONG direction. If I choose to tan in moderation, that is MY decision and I should not be penalized for it. Nor should tanners foot the bill for healthcare... how are other races going to be taxed to foot their share of the healthcare bill???

Obama's cultic black liberation theology & 'spreading the wealth' sinister socialism is clearly obvious with this tanning tax as caucasians are the target. Blacks don't go to tanning beds. Thousands of caucasian jobs will be lost as a result. I met two black men, one four yrs ago in Vegas, one recently in S. Cal. Both said blacks are the true Jews while so-called Jews in Israel are not true Jews & that God is finally showing favor on his chosen people [the blacks]. One even said, whites are cursed Edomites needing destruction. James Cone, father of black liberation theology said, "Whether the American system is beyond redemption we will have to wait and see. But we can be certain that black patience has run out, and unless white America responds positively to the theory and activity of Black Power, then a bloody, protracted civil war is inevitable." So let's see: last week in the Health Scam Bill is a 10% tax on users of tanning beds that was used by the CBO to help pay for the Health Ins giveaway.

This week, the NannyState is gonna have fewer idiots using these things, thereby paying less taxes toward the cost of ObamaCare.

Guess we'll have to have the CBO rescore & vote on the thing again....
