Bullets Flying Over Abortion Coverage in Health Reform Bill

EDUCATE NOT LEGISLATE should be what the Churches should be doing for their people.

Back alley abortions have been going on for hundreds of years before it became legal.

Clearly, sex won't stop, so the answer is EDUCATE---that's the way to control

pregnancy. Just saying NO would naturally be part of the education--not the only answer.

When Married couples have enough children, they still have sex--they just keep themselves from having more (and they don't use abortion to control it)

Beefbone's comments prompt me to follow with:

Hey! Unemployment problems? Lower the rate by gathering the unemployed together into a cargo jet and dump them all in the ocean.

Think of the lessened burden on our social services tax dollars!

I think this might work!

My son supposedly fathered a child and he has been paying the State of Ohio for 15yrs. Yet the Mother went on to have more and even married someone else. No proof was ever offered. They asked him for blood as we lived in a different state but flat out said, if you send it or don't, your the Dad. Last I heard, it took two people to make a child, maybe woman could just say NO more often. Childern don't benefit from welfare, the parents do. Kids still get hotdog while parents eat steak and have money for beeer and cigs. Maybe some call for personal responsiblity is in order. Abortion should not be birth control.

As a fiscal conservative, I think abortion services should be cheerfully rendered, upon demand, to anyone asking for it. This would greatly reduce the number of children that poor families would have to provide for, reducing the cost of future services that the government would have to provide... schools, emergency room health care, welfare, public transportation, prisons, etc., and help those families achieve financial success.

It also would help reduce property crime and crimes of violence by unwanted, inadequately nurtured children of those families.

Yeah, yeah... I've heard about the sanctity of life, etc., but that's really about those who are into violating others' First Amendment rights by trying to impose their religious views on them. Of course, there are fine people who might have been aborted when they were only fetuses, but would the world really be worse off if Hitler's or bin Laden's or Obama's mothers had had abortions?

Whether or not to have an abortion is a medical decision. As such, Congress has no business addressing the issue. If abortion, or a woman's right to control her body, is an issue, then viagra and erectile dysfunction issues should also be addressed and not covered by healthcare benefits that are funded by government. One gender cannot be singled out for such meddling.

If we truly want to solve the abortion problem, then make men responsible for their actions. Throughout history men have their fun and then walk away and leave the child they helped procreate fatherless and without support. How is it that we only hold women responsible and let men walk away with no repercussions. If you force women to be responsible for their actions, do the same with men and quit making excuses for them. A simple blood test will prove the paternity of the child. By doing so, we would have less fatherless children and less women and children on welfare. The next best thing...put a cap on it until they are willing to be financially responsible for their off-spring.

If the healthcare bill passes congress abortion coverage will be offered in coverage that is offered in exchanges and lower income people will get government help with coverage which means our tax money will be helping people to get abortions no matter what people say and that is intolerable and will cause an uprising like never before. you canot make us the american taxpayer a part of murder, This matter can not be smothed over by reconciliation because it is not a budget matter. If democrats force us into this corner they will be responsible for the aftermath. signed freedom loving american.

That covers it. If necessary, put the exact Hite verbiage in the bill.

More baloney to make political points. Yawn.
