"" She added that the "unique needs" of women weren't being adequately addressed in the Senate healthcare reform bill.

Under oBaMaCare there CANNOT be "UNIQUE NEEDS" Everyone is EQUAL (even White Men) or the Government needs to get the out of the business of Healthcare

I would say three things are going on here with respect to similar conclusions from the USPSTF on prostate cancer testing for men over 75 and the apparent lack of outcry, compared with the case for mammography.

First, because you do not remember objections to the conclusions is likely because the MSM (Main Stream Media - there is such a thing - it is the one going out of business due to the digital media revolution), ignores organizations focused on men's issues. You may be unaware because the MSM is your milieu. Organizations like PCC have questioned these conclusions.

Second, socially, old people are expendable. Because the subjects are 75 and over, no one cares.

Third, the conclusions on prostate cancer testing did not occur in the environment of debate over health care funding, as did those for mammography. The possibility of denial of coverage for the procedure (death panels), glibly dismissed by the MSM (again) as a Republican plot, became all too real a possibility, occurring coincidently at this precise moment.

There is no such thing as "screening for domestic violence." That is just another way of saying "letting the doctor make something up if the patient chooses to tell the truth."

What about vasectomy? I haven't heard anything about vasectomy! If more men would have this precedure and quit having kids, we could decrease some of the spending. We wouldn't have to support their children, when they can't or don't want to.

If the government is going to control every aspect of our lives and we are heading toward a socialist society, I guess they might as well tell us how many children we may have. Men can only father one child.
