We applaud this step in the right direction, that Glamour has taken, and hope that it continues to create opportunities to provide education about the beauty of body diversity and the related issues of health at every size!

It is about time a magazine featured healthy-looking models instead of the anorexic, malnourished type. Those shown in the "Glamour" photo appear to be toned and firm while having enough padding to be feminine.

Recently my husband and I have watched movies starring Marilyn Monroe and other glamour gals of that era. Though these stars were considered attractive and shapely then, on film they look flabby and overweight compared with the athletic and toned young women of today. I also have noticed actors of the past era were facially handsome and well dressed, but they lacked the toned and muscular look so popular today. Maybe the "good old days" were not so good after all!

I would not call those models "full-figured." They look like me. I'm 5'6" tall, weigh 134 pounds - my weight in college - and dimensions 36-28-39. I am 52 years old, and my big butt is HARD with muscle and very little fat. The last time I had a doctor's appointment, my pulse was 65 and my blood pressure 95/66,

How do I maintain this? By eating a healthy diet with only small amounts of meat and lots of fruits, vegetables, nuts, and whole grains, and by figure skating about 10 hours per week.

Hi there,

I'm looking into how you can become a Model? How do you go about if Glamour is hiring for full figure women?

Can you help me or direct me to it?

Thanks,
