Abortion shouldn't be covered in the health insurance plan because it's not health care. The women who have abortions should use protection then they wouldn't have to have an abortion in the first place. That is pure laziness not to use protection and selfishness to have an abortion. If you don't know how to prevent an unwanted pregnancy, then you shouldn't "make a baby" in the first place. Why should taxpayers pay for these selfish, ignorant people?!

Abortion is legal. It always will be. According to science and the law, it is NOT murder.

It SHOULD be covered. It's a woman's choice. Not anybody else's.

Is this really true? Which god bestowed this new 'right' to demand that all of us 'chip in' together to pay for Jane Doe's abortions? What about the "right to a sex change" for those who want one? What about the "right" to a federally funded boob job? What about the "right" to federally funded hair transplants for balding men? What about the right to federally funded performance enhancing drugs for students and athletes? What about the right to federally funded back-rubs for manual laborers? What about the federally funded right to dating-services for lonely singles and divorcees?

If every group would simply stand up and demand that ALL our imaginary "rights" are covered, we could hit $100 trillion health care plan. Now that would be living well.

Perhaps its IE8's fault, but a quick search for the term "responsib" (yes I know, but I was looking for the greatest number of hits). Responsible never turned up in your article. In this day and age of DNA evidence, why not make the father responsible for providing adeqate and necessary care for his offspring?

I know of so many losers that "leave their problems behind" to pursue their next victim.

2 wrongs don't make a right. Instead fight for the right of your children to have a father that pays, at a minimum.

Our great Constituion says we have the right to the pursuit of happiniess, not that a happy "moment" grants freedom of responsibility.

Why should my tax dollars pay for killing babies? These women that want abortions to be payed for by the tax payer are the most selfish beings of all creation. It's ALL about THEM...

One of the biggest mistakes of our politicians is they

cannot reconcile our economic checkbook. These fiscally

irresponsible lawmakers should be ashamed for the mishandling of taxpayersmonies.Public servants I dont

think so!Lobbyist puppets would be a more adequate title!

NO abortions should be paid for with taxpayer dollars.

Tell these ladies to keep thier legs together.Education

and logical consequences should enter into this picture.

Abortion should not be covered under any health care bill except for the specified reasons. There is a simple solution to all of this controversy which is to treat abortion the same as any "elective" procedure or surgery. It is done now and shouldnt change. You pay for it yourself!! I dont understand why this is such a big deal. The Congress and Senate needs to put this forward to the people so that the opposition shuts up about it.

"Abortion is legal. End of subject. OF COURSE it should be covered."

By your logic, then when slavery was legal in our past history, the slave trade should be sanctioned and be made legal as well (and yes even when slavery was legal, the slave trade was banned in this country in 1808).

"There is no benefit in making people keep babies that are unwanted."

The mothers who murdered their infants after they are born argued the same way you did.

"This increases the crime rate and makes lives hell for the children."

It is not that the children are unwanted, since many folks want to adopt. It is because mothers do not want the children and also do not want others to have the children, if the mothers are not going to have the children born into the world, no one can have them. It is narcissistic, self-centered, and cruel.

And the claim you are making of concern for the children's lives being hell after they are born are not real sincere. It is basically saying that since you do not want to have the kid born, you would make life hell for the kid once the kid is born. That is what it amounts to. Another way to put it is that you don't want to have the kid born but if the kid is not raised by you when unwanted, then no one else can be given a chance to love the kid.

It is narcissistic, self-cenetered, and cruel. It is saying those kids rather be killed then live.

"If your going to be compassionate you will let the mothers' do what is best for their own personal situation."

And mothers who kill their newly borns use the same rationale.

There is no compassion involved in letting crimes against humanity go unnoticed.

"Ultimately they should be the ones to make the decision on what happens to their body."

It's another human body that is involved- with a brain, heart, pulse, own DNA, own gender, etc.

"Taking away people's choice is fundamentally wrong."

A right to make people's choice is worthless when there is no right to life.

And what choice? Choice to get rid of their unborn and murder them? Let's call that choice for what it is.

It is the same sort of argument slaveowners used- abolitionists were trying to take away their choices to own slaves as their property.

"The logic is behind making abortions easily accessible and affordable."

Yeah, you want to tell others not to object when you and others have babies butchered in the most horrific manner. Yeah, you want to make those things affordable and acessible.

"Keep your Rosaries off my ovaries."

And what about the female babies aborted? Don't they have female sexual organs that you have doctors destroy? Keep your own lack of religion off those babies, male or female, who are yet unborn, rather than have doctors do things like suck the brains out of them.
