I used to have a terrible fear of crowds, what helped me was going to social anxiety support groups. I went to Social Anxiety Anonymous groups (which are free by the way), their website is at www.healsocialanxiety.com

They also have a free online book on how to get better from social anxiety at: www.spalibrary.info

I, too, suffered from an anxiety disorder several years ago. I have been able to not only describe the symptoms that I experienced but I have also written about how I was cured from this debilitating illness.

If you would like more information about my experience, please look at my blog, located at:

The Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA) provides a great deal of educational information about anxiety and related disorders, including treatment options; visit www.adaa.org.
