Whoever wrote the first comment under the title 'matriarchical societies - Christine you got it wrong' is an idiot. Your comments have nothing to do with the posted article. I am replying your moronic posting.

Men -- you are not running through the jungle anymore; you drive your car to the beach. You don't kill for your food; you grocery shop or go through the fast food lanes (again, in your car). Protector of women? Ha! Women have to protect themselves from YOU. Get real already. Your time has passed and your pissed. BFD. women are the majority of people in the world, in America we are the majority of the workforce, we are the majority of college students, we are the majority of people with advanced degrees, we are the majority of students in degree programs. We are the future. Get over it already and get with the program.

Christine, sorry but you got just about everything wrong.

First of all men are not monsters, corrupt and evil by nature. Men are designed to protect women and families. In order to be a good protector you have to be able to stand up for something and not cower and run.

If you do some research you will find that while many or if not most societies started out as matriarchal societies, they never lasted long because they were conquered and over-run by other societies because they had no male leaders to protect them. The males they had were so submissive and meek they were no match for the invaders.

Men become unusually violent because they are being suppressed, subdued and debased by society and the feminists. Furthermore, they find themselves in competition with women in the workplace and other areas where women were not normally or naturally found.

Women are designed to be nurturers, emotional and illogical. Men, on the other hand are made to be logical, fearless, aggressive and protective.

Yes Christine, men are useless, until the lights go out or you hear a noise downstairs at 2:00 am.

men, are by their nature corrupt and destructive. by their nature they are driven by testosterone there is little that can be done about this fact. Women on the other hand do not have this problem, we are driven by another universal ingredient that by its nature directs us to be caregivers at our most primal level, a lesser of the two evils, estrogeon.

historically throuhout civilization the matriarchal society is more condusive to family environments while still maintianing economic stability. The matriarchal society by its element alone issues respect for family memebers becuase the directive of the leadership role of the women. Men are better fathers, better husbands better providers in a matriarchal society. as women are by the mechanics of the matriarchal society live a longer healthier lives and are not subject to the destitution and destruction of males.

Matriarchial societies have less social issues and less violence. families and individauls are genrally happier and content as compared to patriarchal society. do your homework read what you can for yourself,( i'm not going to foot note this sorry)

i was really hoping for a woman president but maybe michelle really does "keep her house in order"? Teehee.

'We are becoming a "woman's nation". That's a good thing, too, as women generally have better sense than men.'

Isn't that sexist? Is this the message we want to teach young boys? Why are men shackled with political correctness when speaking about a woman, yet a female has no restrictions when speaking of a female?

Why do we ignore men's health when women live 4.6 years longer and are 5x less likely to commit suicide?

These are legitimate questions that Obama going to have to address one day.

Oh, by the way, Rihanna attacked Chris Brown first.
