5 Ways to Ward Off Aging

Think of it. We used to harvest our food in a diet of mainly fruits and vegetables. On this diet colonic and gastric carcinomas were rare due to limited time of food with oxidants and carcincinogens staying in the bowel. The ruffage pushed this along. Rare to see these types of carcinomas in "primative societies".

To survive in the past man had to work by harvesting or catching his food without being caught in the process. This provided exercise in the process and a need to forage only when hungery.

The point of the article is limits. You can eat good fish with limted saturated fats and with 3 Omega fats; you can eat chicken without the skin limiting fat consumption and you can increase your fruit and vegetable intake (even the diabetic diets are now liberalizing this area). Moderation in portions and a little exercise and you'll soon be feeling healthy without starving.

What is your standard for "mostly"? Per meal or per day? You seem to want to use the per day standard. But food is eaten in meals. It is more accurate to say there are 3 meals in a day (typically), so 3 x 7 (days) = 21.

4 meals with meat / 21 meals per week, is "mostly" vegetarian.

If you have fish a few times a week, min./wk.=3; and chicken once or twice, min./wk.=1; then all animal flesh min./wk.=4. In a wk. of 7 d. this is not "mostly".
