Sisters Bring Happiness

According to my therapist, male children who grow up in a family with sisters learn to be better listeners and are more emotionally aware for their wives. They benefit from the model the females demonstrate when they talk things out and talk about their feelings. In general, American culture doesn't allow men to have feelings (big boys don't cry, suck it up, etc.) and they reflect this back to eachother down the generation unless they have the benefit of women who effectively communicate with eachother. And even though most men out there don't think feelings matter, I challenge them to find a woman out there who wouldn't appreciate her husband more if he could only relate! I recommend the book "The Emotionally Unavailable Man", it's easy to read and helps men understand how their detatched world actually hurts marriages and families, thus our society!
