There is never enough articles in reference to Type 1 diabetes. This is the more severe type of diabetes that only up to 10% of diabetes have. It is not caused by poor diet or being obese. Please write an article to educate to the world the difference between the 2 forms of diabetes.

As a parent of a type 1 diabetic, I find it continually frustrating to have others think that I caused my child to get this condition because I fed them too much sugar, or did not offer them enough opportunities for physical exercise.

Thank you.

Early detection in children is soooooo critical. Excellent article.

Finding a cure through medication would be helpful, but as you know, a lot could be done by all of us thru proper diet and exercise. Self discipline however can be tough. But if circumstances exist whereby medication is needed, I wanted to possible help some people out there by letting them know about a site that few people know about, but can help greatly in paying less for all their medications, diabetes included. I have known several people it has helped, some diabetic, some with other prescriptions they get, and

hopefully this will help get the word out. The site is www.medpap.ws and tho it's "free," the "catch" is that they want you in their store hoping you

will impulse shop and pick up other items while you are there. Just be smart, enjoy the savings, and don't buy anything else you don't need.to beat the system. There also is a short 1 minute video to explain how it works. It is a good program that saves you money so I hope u take advantage of it.

Predicting whether a child will have diabetes is important, but prevention is even more important. We already know that 1 in 3 kids born in 2000 will develop type 2 diabetes at some point in life, so we need to help EVERY child develop healthier habits to avoid this disease. My strategy for making our kids' lunches healthier is urging Congress to help put more fruits, vegetables, and low-fat vegetarian options in every school lunch line. The Child Nutrition Act will be overhauled in the next few months, and we need to make sure the new bill helps schools add these options. Take action at http://HealthySchoolLunches.org.
