I would hardly call the 'chicken little' syndrome of the Swine Flu a pandemic. After all, 36,000 people die every year in this country of normal, run of the mill flu and we never hear of the outrage for every other version of flu. The numbers claimed to be directly attributable to H1N1 pale in comparison and the word 'pandemic' alone call for substantially larger fatalities. H1N1 vacinatiins notwithstanding too much is blown way out of proportion in this country, especially by the media that many times depicts serious problems that we face before checking their facts...after all it's what "sells" and grabs peoples attention more than backing up attention grabbing headlines in this day and age. If the media continues to rage on about unsubstantiated headlines people will become immune to whatever the next scare is and when things really are serious they'll be totally ignored...and then points figers at whom?

The H1N1 panic flu actually peaked in the USA the third week in October... earlier in some States... In Maryland it peaked in week 42 (week ending 24th October) and has plummeted approximately 90 percent since.

It is really sad that the CDC is still saying that there are signs that the flu is declining when it is blatantly obvious that it has. It is also sad that the CDC is committed to destroying a virus that has displaced infinitely more hazardous seasonal flu viruses knowing that the seasonal virus will fill any void. The good news is that this epidemic has proven that natural infections provide life long immunity. Not so good news is that the seasonal H3N2 virus lurking in the background is not the one targetted by the seasonal flu vaccine.

This pandemic will go down in history as the first one to actually save more lives than it costs.

There's no reason to believe that annual flu shots even work - there is actually NO scientific evidence for it! Gary Null recently testified before the NY State Assembly over the issue of vaccine effectiveness and safety. Dr. Null has spent seven years examining every vaccine study ever documented. Among his revelations:

• No double-blind placebo study (the only recognized scientific method considered valid) has ever done on the safety and effectiveness of vaccines.

• All studies that have been done were funded and executed by the industry that sells the vaccines - a blatant conflict of interest.

• 50% of the vaccine-approval committee members are on the pharmaceutical industry payroll.

• Side effects from vaccines often take months, if not years, to develop, while vaccine studies only last for 7 days after vaccination.
