4 Flu Vaccine Doses for Kids This Fall—but Where and When?

I have tried unsuccessfully to reserve a thimerosal free flu vaccine for my daughter. Although the CDC and Massachusetts Department of Public Health state that there are plenty of vaccines available, my physician's office stated that they are not able to order it from their distributor. Apparently, UMASS will not allow their practices or physicians to order thimerosal free vaccines for pediatric patients. In my opinion, this practice is unconscionable, and I imagine this has something to do with the medical group's bottom line! Even when I offered to pay the full cost, I was brushed aside and made to feel like I was acting irrationally. Although, studies have yet to show a link between autism and other disorders, why would I knowingly inject a neurotoxin into my child? As a parent, I am outraged that I do not have a choice to offer a safer alternative.

I have read and heard of the poisons contained in these H1N1 shots. My son is 16.5 yrs old and works out regurally, prepping for the time he can try out for the Navy Seals, and he is very much into taking all the right vitamins etc etc.... he will not need and type of flu shots. Neither he nor myself have ever had one and we are still fine. His immune system is very strong. I myself have very good knowledge of how to keep my body and immune system up to peak performance and I almost never get more than a sniffle or cough here and there. So those of you who believe all this "pandemic" crap can have our shots and you can feel better knowing that you played right into the greedy hands of the drug companies. Man, some of you sound like little blind lemmings. Kudo's to those of you with a brain that you actually use to do the research. Get healthy and you have nothing to fear but the greedy drug companies. Booyaa!

As a mother of two, one being a six month old, I am struggling with believing that the government has made a safe H1N1 vaccine. They make mistakes all the time and I am not confident that they worked out all of the kinks with the vaccine. I feel as if they rushed to put it out there. As a teacher though, I am constantly brining home illness because parents continually send their children to school sick because they do not want to take a sick day. I really do not know what to do. It's such a tricky situation and one that I will struggle with this year.

People, hello? Why do you all have your heart and soul into what and if this crap about the vaccine? let people do what they want or dont want. why do you have the need to write telling them they are wrong? just back off. people will do what they want anyway in the end, so let them be. go watch tv, or read, something constructive...and these people who are I guess you can say active in telling those not to give their children vaccines? dont......DONT........cause you may end up ebing responsible for their child or childrens' deaths.....you all sound like the enemy made this vaccine to wipe out all us americans..relax. Go join the PTA!.

WHAT IS ALL THE (BEE0( ABOUT? PEOPLE, GET REAL. WE ARE NOT TALKING ABOUT THE AROM BOMB. WE ARE TALKING ABOUT FLU VACCINES. SOMETHING WE ALL HAVE HAD FOR YEARS ON END.....WHY ALL THE FUSS NOW? WHY ONLY RECENTLY THIS THING ABOUT KIDS HAVING AUTISIM WAS CAUSED BY THE MERCURY IN THE VACCINES? WHY SUDDENLY? I AGREE WITH THE PERSON WHO SAID, PEOPLE WHO ARE AGAINST THE VACCINE MUST HAVE A CHILD WITH AUTISM AND THEY ARE PROBING TO HOPEFLLY POINT THE FINGER AT SOMETHING. ALMOST EVERYONE HAS BEEN VACCINATED AND TEHY ARE NOT THAT WAY. SO THE FINDINGS PROVE OTHERWISE.....ITS FALSE...THE VACCINES DO NOT CAUSE AUTISM. PELPLE GET OFF THIS KICK....ITS THIS THIS YEAR. NEXT YEAR IT WILL BE EATING APPLES CAUSES ACID REFLUX OR PEOPLE WHO DRIVE GET FAT MORE THAN THOSE WHO WALK....ITS ALWAYS SOMETHING......ALWAYS SOMETHING AND ENDS UP NOTHING IN THE AND...WATCH AND SEE. VACCINES PREVENT THE FLU IN 98 PERCENT OF PEOPLE, I WILL TAKE THE CHANCE FOR ME AND MY KIDS...IF I HAD ANY. .

Vaccines are known to have high amounts of mercury, true ....so theres a possibility it could cause autism.....but not for sure. but as someone else said before....i'd rather have a child with autism than a dead child........for if i didnt vaccine my child and they contracted the h1n1 and died.....i would never ever forgive myself.
You need to look at the whole picture......read the studies......how many people got the vaccines.......how many didnt........how many are autisic.....you will see it is a very low percentage.....
it's like saying.....should i cross the street? or should I fly in a plane.....anything can happen at anytime.....but there isnt always a reason.......or a cause....its destiny.....and yes i belive in prevention......and is why my kids will be vaccinated.....so they wont die.......i could handle autism IF it happend.....but if they died due to me being dumb.....i would never get over that.

every year there is so much talk about flu and vaccines and who isnt going to do this and who will and what if and then what? and each year, most of us survive.......and with any illness.......some live, some may not......and its unfortunate for those who dont.....so, maybe a vaccine isnt such a bad idea...afer all, isnt this your kids' life you are arguing about?
