Even if the teens didn't have depression before the increase in television viewing, it's possible (I would say probable) that those that are more prone to depression are more likely to increase their television viewing at this age. It may be the start of escaping from their problems. These people were likely going to be depressed anyway. The television viewing doesn't have anything to do with the increase in depression IMO.

I got real depressed when i saw this site.

Depressed because the FCC isn't doing their job, maybe you can convince them.
