Autism Screening Tops Obama's Medical To-Do List

It is great that they are doing more about screening for autism, but the government really needs to think in the long term. What is going to happen to all our kiddos when they get older and cannot hold down a job and will be on social security and are disabled. There needs to be more treatments approved for autism. Research needs to be a top priority. This is an epidemic and something needs to happen now.

IM HAPPY THAT THEY ARE DOING EARLY SCREENING, BUT WHAT ARE THEY DOING ABOUT THE DETECTION OF AUTISM? MY NEPHEWS BOTH HAVE AUTISM AND ITS SO FRUSTRATING HEARING ABOUT IT AND THERE IS NO FUNDING OR CONSISTENT RESEARCH OR UPDATES ON PROGRESS ABOUT IT. IT IS AFFECTING SO MANY CHILDREN AND THE PROMISE OF THEM GETTING A NORMAL CHILDHOOD. MY MAIN QUESTION IS WHATS THE WORLD GOING TO DO IF THERE IS 1 OUT OF 100 CHILDREN WITH AUTISM? ATLEAST HELP THE PARENTS BUY THE FOODS THAT THEY NEED AND THE VITAMINS AND THE EXTRA HELP THEY NEED TO HAVE ONE ON ONE COMMUNICATION WITH SOMEONE? PUT YOURSELF IN THESE KIDS SHOES AND YOU NEED TO COMMUNICATE AND YOU CANT, YOUR HURT BUT YOU CANT TELL ANYONE. YOU SLEEP AND THEN YOUR SCREAMING FOR A COUPLE OF HOURS CAUSE YOU CANT SNAP OUT OF IT. THEY ARE SUFFERING AND SO ARE THE PEOPLE THAT LOVE THEM AND WANT AND WAIT AND DREAM OF THEM TALKING AND HAVING A NORMAL LIFE. I BELIEVE IF IT WAS ONE OF THERE KIDS IT WOULDVE BEEN TOP PRIORITY. NOT EVERYONE HAS MONEY LIKE FAMOUS PEOPLE TO BUY THE EXPENSIVE AND NECESSARY SUPPLEMENTS FOR THEIR LOVED ONES.

Take a look on you tube and type in autism and self injury for a good look at severe autism. Also type in autism and seizures. There are several videos of autism and seizures.

Would it be possible to use the picture of the 'Childs hands playing with the coloured blocks' picture for my Autism Website?

Thx

There oughta be so much more by the end of the 2000s. How long has autism been know of? Doctors and professionals are struggling. This devastating, mysterious disease just keeps happening to even more children. By 2025 it might increase to 1 in every 12 children. People are screwed if they feel helpless. Obviously something is making it more prevalent. Mercury poisoning and pollution are suspects.
