Does Global Warming Mean More Kidney Stones?

Just as the entire global warming science is weak, at best, its subsequent affects are also supported by weak scientific data.

So the earth is only a trillion years old and we have accurate, documented weather data for say...100 years so all the global warming science really accounts for maybe 1:bazillionth of the earths weather data. Good Science - if you're a moron.

The same rings true for the kidney stone "theory". To take only one variable and establish that it is warmth that increases the incidence of stone formation in certain regions of the country is bad science. What other variables were controlled to confirm or support that hypothesis? A few variables I can think of include: water consumption per capita, activity level, milk consumption per capita, diet (which is huge since many foods increase likely hood of stone formation) and genetics to name a few.

Just as in global warming our "researchers" mostly want to grab a headline. It is nothing more not less.

OK, so we don't know if it's real or not, but last time I checked several cities underwater in good ol' USA. Hope you're not counting on GW's disaster relief plan. BTW, the national guard is not in the nation to help you. Sorry, but those relief supplies were given to the state Casino board. And your trailers are carcinogenic. Have a nice day.

Not news to me a city UNDER SEA LEVEL protected by high tech DIRT LEVIES is now under the sea, like nemo! Under da sea! This is science. A city below sea level will soon be under the sea.... especially when government is in charge of levy building and maintenance. Our best levies are made of dirt?

Superpower eh?

Nobody likes FOX news, oh please tease and then scare me and then leave me hangin' some more... I like an actual news report not just a sound byte (1 bit of info). So I watch BBC! So this is all the news in America. They want you to PANIC!

And after you PANIC and are in MASS HYSTERIA, they then show you bunch of boring recipes for food you can't afford or have a chef to cook for you.

I especially like to hear how they think my vote counts and the system works etc... especially after the last "election" which was more of an electoral appointment. Just remember you live in a Republic, and the top 1% who own everything represent you, and you will do fine. Just like Rome did.

Plants don't produce CO2, they consume it and expel oxygen in the process of growing. That's why the slash and burn of the world's rain forests is doing the most damage to the environment.

As suspected, most people do not understand that global warming does not mean hotter high temperatures. IPCC studies indicate higher 'mean temperture and under their own admission, it is not the high temperatures going higher but the low temperatures not going as low that, when the ighs and lows are combined, the 'mean temperatures are higher (except for last year which were colder than the mean temps of every year since 1930).

So if you sweat at the low temperatures in your area, you might have something to worry about otherwise you don't.

In 1999 all of us were threatened with millinium bug saying that all computers will shut down when the clock turned to year 2000. Then we came to know nothing happend. Same argument goes with global warming phenomenon. What we need to do now is

eat less, save money, conserve energy and do more excercise.

Common sense must be dead. Though I would never accuse academia of having any common sense anyway.

My head's gonna explode from all this !! Global Warming !! nonsens. (you have to ues the !! ) Are the authors of this so-called research completely ignoring the fact that a significant percentage of the U.S. population is getting older all the time? Seems to me it's just common sense that older folks are going to have a higher incidence of kidney stones.

Duh!

Agree with everything you say save one which is plants giving off CO2 Actually plants consume CO2 and give off oxygen. When the plants die, the CO2 gets locked up in soil.

It'd be good to not be overly polluting our air but GW as proven science.. not so much. The highly touted data that people build their pretty graphs from, show but a small snapshot of one aspect of what could be longer records. I've seen graphs including data on the order of 600,000 years of inferred temperatures (based on CO percentages and yes inferred, because there was no one to actually take a temperature reading) and the current warming cycle while a sharp increase, isn't unique. There have been others. And typically these rapid increases precede a rapid cooling period. That potential scenario is one reason why many respected scientists are not on board with the GW alarmists.

BTW Carbon emissions from transportation is far outweighed by CO2 and Methane from the world's cattle herds. You GW folks going to mandate the elimination of all those animals too?

Its the lefty wackos that are brainwashed and full of crap. Maybe that's why they get more kidney stones. Thye are so uptight they can't crap. I guaranty you in 20 or 25 years it will be another global cooling scare just like they had back in the 70s and 80s. Anything to make money. Its the crappy SAD (Standard American Diet) with all the junk and soda that's killing people not the farse of global warming. People will believe anything. If global warming is so bad why arn't you outhere protesting China, India which has some of the dirtiest air on the planet. Its only the bad ole USA because you hate this place. Come on now admit. You hate it but you want all the goodies it has to offer so you won't go live anywhere else will you. Typical socialists.

Earth will sure survive but the human spieces will be wiped out. It might take a 1000 yrs or a million years but mother earth will recover.
