Unfortunately I probably wouldn't, when I tell him I don't feel well he doesn't show much concern. He doesn't communicate with me and half the time he doesn't listen either.

My last wife past away in May of 2002, her cancer had lasted over 10 years. She had suffered without knowing she had cancer! Until one day on her job she collapsed. They sent her to a hospital, there she was diagnosed. That form of cancer that she had was not easy to remove, it could only be treated with chemo. Only after the removal of her cervex was her Dr. able to tell if she would be o.k. That six years before that form of cancer was present through out her body.

I think those Swedish cancer patients didn't tell their husbands out of fear of abandonment. Women tend to be better at the richer/poorer/better/worse thing; men have a tendency to bail or at least to withdraw. Also, men have a need to take action and solve problems, and the women may fear their husbands will coerce them into taking useless treatments or waste their little remaining time seeing more doctors. This totally needs to be discussed between partners!
