What Men Can Do About Dwindling Testosterone Levels

i am a 48 year old male in generally good health. today i was diagnosed with low testosterone (195 on a scale of 300 - 800 healthy.) i rarely pay much attention to my health since its rarely been an issue for me. but this one has grabbed my attention. the only symptom i exhibit (based upon those most frequently listed) is mental and physical fatigue. no others.

upon returning to my office i began looking at the web and the myriad of related articles. so, this seems like a big step and i am curious about any feedback from those similarly diagnosed, realtively young and in good health, with no real symptoms.

the andro gel prescribed will cost me $230 per month on blue shiled insurance and injections are $10 per month plus the necessary office visit. any other supplements that have worked? is this course of treatment (which seems pretty permanent) a good solution for general fatigue?

would appreciate any responses (good or bad.) thanks.

start increasing your testosterone by avoiding drinking alcohol, smoking, and eating too much.. go for diet, eating food zinc-rich, exercise regular (gym)..

and there's another way to increase your testosterone levels, by using testosterone replacement therapy.creams like Testoforte plus natural are becoming far more popular forms of treatment because of how easy it is to change your dose and the ease and convenience of application. you can visit their website http://www.testoforte.com

very affordable and very effective :) you should check this out!!

There is a doctor advertising his new product on television about increasing testosterone levels in aging males...I think he calls it 'ageless male'...supposedly a new discovery...he shows pix of himself looking in his late 30's when he's in actuality the father of some children that are about 30 something !!...I wonder if there's some actual truth to it or just more snake oil (?)

When you read the title "What Men Can Do About Dwindling Testosterone Levels", you kind of expect some advice, various treatment options and maybe some alternative medicince kind of stuff. Maybe the title should have been "Worthless vanilla info about low testosterone."

I feel like I have some of the symptoms of low testosterone (loss of desire, slight loss of hair on my legs, no real drive for life that I used to have, might even say a depressed feeling) and I think it all happened when my mum died last year.

That's why I've been looking into testosterone levels as it seems to fit the bill. I suppose since you've mentioned some horrendous side effects, I should speak to my doctor and get a blood test done first. That's probably the best first step for anyone considering any sort of testosterone therapy / supplements.

It may not even be a testosterone problem that I have but I have been doing some weight training recently (I am by no means a body builder!) and playing football which has helped. Guess the blood test is the only real way of finding out!

Anyway hope this helps as I'm sure out of all the people in this world, I'm not the only one in this situation.

I'm at 200 ml? every two weeks but want to do half of this every week, any one know of potential problems? Also what about cycling or coming off this for a time period to ensure my body is still producing.

History was on gel and didn't work, patches didn't work and now shots took me from 200's to 600's.

I am a 50 year old white male. About two years ago I was feeling down and somewhat depressed. I felt week, tired and had bouts of what I believed was depression. I did a little research and came across an article on low T. I had most of the symptoms that they had listed. I went to my Dr and asked to have my blood chemistry run and to include testosterone. It came back that it was in the low range for my age. My Dr. prescribed a rub in gel that i was to use twice a day for a month and come back and have it retested, which I did. My levels had dropped even more ( unknown why ) we then discussed other options. Since my Wife is a nurse i chose injectible testosterone. I have been using it every month for the past two years. It has made a world of difference. I have more energy and focus, my muscle tone has improved ( now have the energy to go to the gym which i do about 4-5 days a week. My sex drive improved to the point my wife is a little annoyed with the early morning wake ups. The only side effect that I have noticed is a little acne especially when I work out and sweat alot. I still keep a check on my blood chemistry levels. I cannot recomment it enough if your levels are low. I dont think it can hurt to atleast try it, you can always stop.
