I found the vasectomy to be simple, quick and cheap. It also puts the ball in the man's court. Men won't have to worry about taking pills if they simply get vasectomies.
Women take "the pill" because they want to interrupt their periods as well as not become pregnant -- it's much easier for women to remember their pills as opposed to the operation of "tying her tubes".
