Flexible Approach to Vaccinations Comes Under Fire

The new President of the AAP, Dr. David Tayloe, is a firm believer in "all vaccines for all kids" and apparently doesn't know a vaccine reaction when he sees one. He stated on the Larry King Live show earlier this year that he has never filed a VAERS report, despite seeing more than 100K children per year in his NC practice. I personally know many parents whose children have had reactions that should have been reported, but were in fact, brushed aside or ignored by Tayloe and/or his staff when these reactions were reported to them. Tayloe, Offitt, and the other arrogant pediatricians who chose to ignore the legitimate concerns of concerned parents are now getting what they deserve-our contempt. I hope the money they are taking from the pharmaceutical companies is worth it because they are personally and professionally responsible for what is going to one day be recognized as the biggest health disaster in the history of the world. There is plenty of research showing that vaccines can cause harm to the neurological, immune, and gastrointestinal systems of certain susceptible groups of children. This MUST be recognized and studied so the schedule can be made safer for all! Until then, you'd better believe my child won't get another vaccine!

I just wish that the doctors were not such patsies for the drug companies. 8 vaccines at once, on a 2-month old? That's ridiculous.

When I had my first son, they forced me to allow them to do a hepatitis vaccine on him at 24 hours old!! I believe that his allergy and asthma problems today are because of this vaccine. I notice now, this vaccine is no longer mandated! Must have been that so many problems arose that they removed it.

I think the public wants to know that medical science is interested in health and not the propagation of the drug culture. They have not shown themselves to be true scientists because they don't care about what works, just what's mandated. And it's always more--never less. I for one do not trust any doctor. I've rarely met one who will admit to any flaws in their theories. And as this article attests, they have the "my way or the highway" attitude that shows the public that they aren't really seeking answers, just their way of being.

I believe since Dr. Offit has a clear conflict of interest in advocating vaccines (since he personally profits from the sales) he needs to NOT be the head of a vaccine information center NOR should he be quoted advocating (his) vaccines under the guise of being an expert. Sure, he's an expert...but he's also a salesman at the same time and this needs to be kept in mind when we consider his advice.

I personally think it's terrifying and ridiculous that we give our kids 3 times as many vaccines nowadays as we did when I was a child (in the early 1980's.) We have so many vaccines on the schedule now that it only makes sense to give kids 5 or 6 shots in one sitting... and yet no one has looked at whether or not this really is OK on their system - that's a LOT of neurotoxins that we're asking our babies to process! We seem to add vaccine after vaccine to the pile - without any ANY studies showing the safety or danger of the cumulative affects of these vaccines on children's brains and development.

Vaccines contain (several) neurotoxins - mercury, formeldehyde, and aluminum. (Mercury is in the flu shot.) We are shooting up our children with these neurotoxins and then we wonder why so many kids have neurological disorders! As if it's really just a coincidence.... It does not take a rocket scientist to wonder if vaccines are causing all these disorders. MORE STUDIES are needed. The first study they could start with (that hasn't been done) is to compare vaccinated kids to unvaccinated kids in terms of neurological disorders. Another would be to compare kids on "alternative" schedules to those who strictly followed the CDC schedule. Have such studies been done? No. Why not? Because there is too much money (and ego) at stake (for those like Dr. Offit) when the results come back that there IS a correlation between neurological disorders and our current schedule of vaccines.
