Health care does not need “reform.” NOT THE RIGHT WORD! It needs to be transformed, or some more radically transformative re-do, if there is such a word for such a thing. To naive sheep out there who mindlessly bleat out venom against the hated S word and the nice socialized care in such places as Canada: Read 2009‘s “Beat the Reaper” by Josh Bazell. Maybe you’ll get some blinders ripped off your eyes about what's about to happen when you go under the knife.

Though the industry will rush to accuse Dr. Bazell of perhaps slight exaggeration, this is a shocking, funny, educational, blood-thirsty thriller -- written by a real doctor -- about life in a Manhattan hospital. Once inoculated by this supposedly fictional inside look, I guarantee you won’t rush to seek medical help as eagerly as you once did.

Now is when you have enough liberals to get this done---not some other time.

As Howard Dean said, "If, when they're done, you have a government plan option for your health care, then you had health care "reform". If not, then you did not have "reform"." It is that simple.
