The Cobra Stimulus is running out and Jobs are harder to find for those of us over 50, even though we are trying to find work daily via numerous search engines and calls. We have worked and paid our taxes and given ourselves to companies for over 32 years.

Please extend the stimulus for us in our time of need.

Thank You

My 9 months is up.I need to have 65% COBRA stimulate extension.

My family monthly coverage is about $1100,I don't know how can I come up with that money when I can not find jobs soon.

I have worked all my life and never thought I would be unemployed and needing government assistance. My position was outsourced to India and I was laid off Jan 31, 2009. The 65% cobra assistance runs out at the end of November and I don't know how I will be able to pay 726.00 medical coverage for my daughter and myself. I have exhausted all of my 401k because the weekly 355.00 a month unemployment payment is just not enough. I am looking beyound desperate for work and will start school soon to reinvent myself. The fact of having medical insurance has always been a comfort since my daughter has a serious medical condition. Please Congress, Senate, Capital Hill and "President Obama" please act before Dec.1, 2009 and extend the cobra stimulus for 20 more weeks as Unemployment was extended.

I like many of the others here that have commented will be running out of cobra benefits soon. I have written several politicians recently with no return answers or comments. One of my questions is does the 65% subsidy end at the end of 09 or does the subsidy continue on until you run out of cobra at the end of 9 months? Our elected officials need to be aware and act on the fact that unemployed people need help in this arena. I, like some of the above will be faced with having health insurance or possibly losing my house. Let's quit giving our tax dollars to other countries and do what Mr. Obama said he would do during the election campaign, take care of our people here at home.

I just found out my 9 months is up for the Cobra Stimulas program, I am on Social Security Disability and cannot afford the $600.00 per month for Cobra insurance. I have a medical condition and take 9 medications daily and cannot afford to be without health insurance.

I agree 100%. I have been unemployed since Feb. My Cobra will be running out soon also. I have a pre-condition as well and not sure what Im going to do. Its scary and this should not be an issue in America. I have been about to keep my Cobra due to the stimulus but its gone once my 9 months is up. So its either a place to live or my Meds. I guess its homeless or death! What do I choose?

Hello!!! Anybody out there who can give the simple answer that we all keep seeing.

Are there any provisions being worked on to extend the 65% Gov't Subsidy?

I agree with previously written blogs on the cobra crisis. We, too, are about to run out of our Cobra stimulus benefit. With all the bail-outs the government awarded, helping to provide corporate CEOs with their ill-earned bonuses (and vacations, I might add) on their "poorly run companies", we should start thinking of all the "Hard" working Americans who, by no fault of their own, lost their jobs partly due to the above mentioned CEOs and their "poorly run companies"!!!

My COBRA insurance will run out the end of november and my cost will be 765.00 a month with the average 300.00 a week unemployment check. I thought i had until the end of December at leastas stated in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, but my previous employer just sent me a letter saying that i have to start paying the full amount starting Dec. 1,2009
