Stimulus Bill to Cover 65 Percent of COBRA Costs for 9 Months

While some will not have anything but unemployment benefits, others will have other resources. A 65% subsidy on COBRA is FANTASTIC. My friend's husband is out of work, and has medical conditions. This is a God Send (not directed at Obama)! This extends them time they can afford COBRA significantly. I just text messaged her - and she was so happy. It has given her husband time to find a job without using up all their "rainy day" fund.
I am not sure what the Obama's Emptry Promises person wants, but they just want HELP. This is a huge help!

At the end of 9 months they will extend the coverage.
It's almost getting to the point that it would be better to stay home and have a life instead of fighting everyday to earn a buck, I mean .60 cents after taxes and fees.
Why not give everyone a house, a car, and food for the next year. After that everyone would be so addicted to government payouts that they would never go back to work.

If this economy doesn't get moving again there are going to be a lot of people in real trouble. So the stimulus plan which is costing almost a Trillion dollars will only pay for 9 months of Cobra @$600 a month??
