Obama's Plan Wins at Covering the Uninsured

The fact that most people in this country depend on "for-profit" health care insurance IS the actual problem with America's health care system. Until we take the "profit" out of health care, we will have an unbalanced system that only the well-to-do can benefit from. The rest of us will continue to pay more and get less. there are enough other ways for these companies to make money besides profiting form the miseries of sick people and their families. It's time for single-payer health care. Those who can afford more would not be stopped from buying more. It would still be a class system, but at least everyone would have a minimum of services.

Would someone please explain to me why the number of uninsured is a government concern? Why does it seem to be assumed that government control of everyone's personal health and economic choices (such as, to be insured or not to be insured) is a good thing? Is health insurance coverage a moral issue? Is it an issue of national security? Why do so many people seem to think that the government must eventually ensure that everyone has health insurance coverage? Suppose I personally prefer to not expect others to pay for my medical care? Suppose I object to Big Government forcing Little Citizen A to subsidize Little Citizen B's unhealthy lifestyle?

Why don't you just come out and say we are heading to a socialist society where wealth will be redistributed and those that don't have, will be put on the backs of those that have! Who really goes without medical care in the US, OK throw in 20 million illegal aliens, they should get it also? Please if you think times are bad wait until or I should say if this socialist get's elected. His kids and wife won't wait for healthcare, right?

The McCain "plan" does not count because merely describing something that Congress will not pass is not a "plan" at all.

There is no way in Hades that Congress is going to encourage employers to drop their group plans as McCain implies.

The real McCain plan for healthcare is to do nothing. Absolutely nothing.

The McCain "plan" does not count----for the simple reason Congress will never, ever, ever, ever pass it. It is merely another McCain lie, as is the "Maverick" nonsense.

As for the Obama "plan", he has so far (wisely) avoided capitulating to insurers who want him to MANDATE that individuals buy some over-hyped "policy" from a for-profit corporation. Billy Mays, TV salesman for KaBoom shower-cleaning stuff and the Hercules picture-hanger hook is already on TV yelling at you to buy (undefined) health insurance from something called icanbenefit.com----this is your wake-up call.
