I am no longer flying because of the TSA abuses. I'm driving instead. It's just like Mom and Dad told us when we were growing up--you see so much more of the country when you drive. (Not to mention you lose the worry of you and your children being molested by a TSA agent, or having your small children exposed to a naked body scanner.)

Other advantages to driving--you're less likely to pick up a cold or flu from being in a cramped, crowded cabin with bad air recirculating. It's also much easier to bring along your own food and picnic at a rest stop. No worry about liquids, toiletries, your prescription medication, or any of that other hassle associated with flying.

I truly miss the days when the airlines treated passengers with respect and dignity, so I'm voting with my feet and driving. And I just might rediscover America along the way.
